Good point on the detention issues there plum crazy. I did run into one just after I posted that where I sat for about an hour and 15 minutes before they even got me to a dock. I called them after one hour of sitting and told them the detention information. It didn't take them 10 minutes to find me a dock. I will have to start called as soon as I arrive on property instead. I guess I could also make up a form to send in with rate sheets addressing detention anyone have any issues when asking brokers sign a setup packet for your end?

Early on when I load I was calling on was cheap or gone I would ask if anything else was available. It wasn't bad with certain brokers that could make a little money booking another agents load but most would not even take the time to look at internal boards.

But what I do now is look to see what type of business and volume they may have in areas I am interested in. And ask to be placed on a list to call me when they are looking for that area.

    Jarhead235 Thanks this.
