Shotsjc if I get cleared to train by my doctor I'll be starting the day after labor day.
I'm concerned about the squats. I'm doing them every day. How deep do you have to go? And when squatting under the trailer how long do you have to do it?
Thanks for your posts. Gives me a heads up. At the hotel is there a better place to ask for a room then others? I know I read that you can't get on the internet in some rooms.
How did the Skype work for you? I have kids as well so we are planning to use Skype. My boy and I wrestle every night and I'm scared to death I'm going to be sick missing him. If I can get passed bedtime I should be okay.
Heading for Roehl Tomorrow

Roehl has specific rooms reserved 24/7 and they are all in the same corridor. I never had trouble using the internet there.

Welp.. I don't do Facebook, or Twitter......
Thanks for the headsup though.....

We were warned to stay out of the Marshfield bars on day one! LOL

I was in room 228 and moved down the hall to 250 first day here because I must have been in between the routers in the ceiling. No problem with the Internet in 250 thankfully. Skype works great MONGOOSE. I am on every night having dinner with my kids. I know what u mean about missing them. I couldn't do this without modern tech! Verizon service sucks in the room so we stick to Skype unless I am out back by my truck. I have a little Acer netbook and it is working great for Skype! As for the squats, no worries, I have a surgically repaired knee and I had mo problem. If u can sit in a chair you will be fine. I was concerned too. Legs were a bit sore the next day but all ya have to do is be able to touch your hand down as you do the squat and u can rise up. Not bad at all! You will be fine and soon I will be reading about your experiences here!

...oh and as for going under the truck...you can take a knee, squat, crawl under if u have to, and it's really only for the day one test and for test day for cdl...probably be under there a total of 2 mins tops and that's both times! lol...no worries!

Well, honestly you probably will be sick missing them for a while, it gets better with time once everyone adjusts to the new lifestyle.

That's the part I'm scared of. My wife's Dad is a trucker. When he came home she said it felt like someone was visiting. I'll be on the 14=7 so maybe that won't happen. Gotta do what you gotta do though. I have to make a living for them.

LOL!!! Got me curious.. checked it out. And yes, I know him.. Used to train years ago. Then was called back to Boeing. Moved out of Wichita to Washington. Assume he's still on at Boeing...
Good man... -
They let you crawl under? When I was there last year it was basically like this...
I squat and have to duck walk in. No touching the floor or the trlr with your hands. (Which is STUPID! Since you would use hands and trlr if you were out there when you have to get under it.)
Once under you could go to one knee, but could not use your hands to return to the duck walk position.
you were under for about 30 seconds and had to read a thing telling what you were checking while under the trlr.
I touched the trlr and she said she really should make me do it again. Lol. I passed but hope that its different now.
good luck!
