I would consider that a good idea and very WISE! Hope you stay safe! The wind isnt the most important thing, the rain and high tide is what is gonna get them. Oh yeah and the tornadoes!

Oh yeah, I'm not gonna mess around with it. I'm wondering when I'll actually be able to get through there to where I deliver, hell the one place is literally right next to the water.

Thanks for updating the death info. As far as trees falling on cars... well I have watched to TV coverage of this almost all day long and you would not believe the amount of people that have been driving around. Not smart! I see that they have 4 tornado warnings out at this time.

I've been watching the Weather Channel all afternoon, and I don't know how many times I've seen them show people jumping off piers with surfboards. CRAZY!!!

I heard on our local news that hotels in NYC are shutting down air conditioning at 10 p.m. and all elevators will be grounded. Subways will be shut down until Tuesday so they can make sure there is no damage to rails and electrical systems from underground flooding.

Yeah I watched it all day long but got so tired that I took a bit of a "nap" and just now getting my brain awake again. Or at least I think it is awake! :biggrin_25525:

Elevators were shut down in case of a power failure they didnt want people stuck in them.

    Love your avatar!!

I sure wouldn't want to be stuck in an elevator if the power went out. I also wouldn't want to be on the 30th floor and have to walk up and down the stairs :biggrin_25512::biggrin_25521: LOL

Looks like what's left of the eye went over NYC around 0330 with about 65 mph winds. Satellite shows all of NY felt it. Looked like Buffalo got heavy wind and rain. It's defintely breaking up some.

I live in the northeast corner of ct. been raining steady with some heavy downpours and strong wind gusts. Lost power once for about two hours or so.We have already recieved 9" of rain in the last two wks so the additional rainfall and wind gusts will cause wide spread power outages. If you must be on the road be safe!
