Would this be considered illegal towing practice

    I would not have let him take the truck if it was safe and drivable. I would not have given them the option. If the cops made me let them...well... I have spent time in a cell before. That is the only way they would get the tractor.

    thanks for the response.

    what I don't agree with is why do we have to pay the police and fireman for addition charges???

    Isn't that what our taxes are for? They are public servants right, not private enterprises.

    You pay the response cost since YOUR driver went under a low clearance and caused a NON-EMERGENCY tie up of EMS personnel and equipment.

    Since when did you pay any local taxes in RI being you hail out of Oakland, CA?

    It is still too much. I've had rollovers in NJ [not a cheap place] cost $11,000.00 and that involved (4) wreckers. The tanker had rolled on the entrance ramp to the turnpike as it passed inder I-287. It was wedged under the highway overpass...

    That wa a bargan compared to the OP's bill.
