That's good to know. Seems like maybe not being hooked up in the battery series then and maybe only to one battery. Maybe I lucked out and the two sets of cables forced them to hook it up correctly. Kinda makes sense but a shame that they aren't getting it right the first time.

Bought it at Pilot 2k watt $189. Can't remember name brand but they only sell two brands. Mine is yellow.

I wish I had done that too - I fell for the "Jedi Mind Trick" of "you have to purchase them from Millis". Cost me over 500 installed.

    Im such a sucker!

Was scheduled to go home Saturday for hometime but ended up cancelling it and staying on the road. I told dispatcher to cancel it and he said no problem but I don't know if I have much going on. Dude I've been running my nards off. It's going to be a good week for sure on the miles.

Delivered Friday in Mansfield, OH. Dead headed to Cincy to pick up a soap load going to Carlisle, PA. Delivered there this after noon then dead headed to McCoole, MD to pick up a paper load going to Hartford, WI. Currently sitting at a Pilot in MD doing my 10. Only have 9 hrs avail to run tomorrow, and pick up only 6 Monday. Once I deliver Monday I'll definitely need a reset to get my hours back.

I hope everybody is enjoying the long weekend. Be safe out there.

You be safe and watch out for the crazy 4-wheelers pulling boats that are twice as big as the 4-wheeler.

Sitting at the J in Waco, TX waiting to pick up a load to drop off in Trenton. I have home time scheduled for Monday. I guess he's gonna put me in there 2 days early. It's good miles, I'm not complaining about that but I hate it when they do that. I schedule Mondays because my wife works weekends. Kind of senseless going in on weekend when I won't see her. And to add I lose 2 days of running.

So, all, I've read the thread and wonder these questions:

** Is Millis a "good" place to start a trucking career? I didn't read too much whining and sniveling as there is on other forums, so it must be.
** There seem to be many trips east of the big river. Does Willis go very far west? I live in Western Michigan and have grandkids in Oklahoma, so those things are important to me.
** If I was your brother, would you recommend Willis as my starter company as opposed to one of the mega-carriers like Swift or Stevens and all their opportunities?

Thanks for reading and your answers.

Welcome to the thread - (it's Bear's thread but thought I would reach out to you)

It's Millis - not Willis(lol) common mistake people make when the see the logo.

We run mostly east of the "big river" as you call it. Some Texas but not as much as the eastern part of the US. Not sure how living in MI would work for them as we dont take a lot there but do have some going that way. Recruiting could answer that better than I.

Hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Baritone. I made the spelling correction--I do know the proper name but somehow misspelled it anyway. One of my direct reports here in MI has a friend that drives for Millis and that is how I made the initial contact. I wrote them an email so I'll see what they say.

I promise to pay closer attention in the future since the teacher DOES take off for spelling!
