the terminal has a break lounge with TV, vending machines and coffee.

you will need $60 for the CDL testing in Utah, the rest is based on your spending habits ... I brought $400 and am still sitting at $300+, but I also went to Walamrt (2 blocks from the motel) and bought simple groceries for the week. The rooms have a fridge and microwave in them.

    Day 2 .............

Study, Study and Study ... you will also have 1 or 2 tests thrown in as well. Today we did the General knowledge test (passed it with 100%). The log books are being done here as well and they will go with you to Utah. Learn them as you will get spot checked at times.

Today's work was simple .... Michelle (Instructer) is nice and easy to learn from but she tells it like it is.

Tomorrow we will be working on Air Brakes and Combo's .... with testing.

Thanks for all of the helpful info! I've put my application in, and got an email from the recruiter. I gave her a call, and am just waiting to hear back from her. If all goes well, I should be going to Conley within the next week or two, I hope.

Utah kind of sort of. In the caf you buy a cup and you can refill all day (coffee is about $2) In building 2 (the vip lounge) there is a coffee maker in the class room and you can brew free, if there is coffee.

    Hope that helps

umm not to sound odd or anything. but i had a recruiter with central. they dont call back from my experience. you need to keep getting with them and trying them. if you figure how many people apply and try calling theie voice mail would be loaded up fast and hard to check. try calling back every day at different times trying to get ahold of them. took me getting with a different recruiter and told them i couldnt reach mine that they sent me directly to her and made sure i talked with her. she didnt sound all happy but oh well i wanted to talk to a recruiter for a job.

Okay this is sort of off the subject but still dealing with the subject.

I got fed up with my local driving job and wanted to go elsewhere to work. Noticed a lot of trucks coming up and down Highway 82, main road in town, and figured id give it a shot and try getting with them. Well the next day i went to eat Chinese and got a fortune cookie. Didnt try the lucky numbers and daily numbers BS on the back but the Fortune was really #### good. "You will travel far and wide, both pleasure and business" from then on i was like yeah, OTR for me. Alwayed enjoyed it growing up going with my dad and enjoy doing the "long" deliveries for the company now but the long ones are really not that long. And do more work around a warehouse then really driving. i feel more like a glorified warehouse worker then a local driver.
