It really doesn't matter whether you have a doctor's release. The company doctor will make the determination whether your limp is an issue or not during your training and DOT physical.

For example, I'm going to get a DOT physical next week by my primary care physician. If I pass the physical and get a medical card from my physician that does not mean the doctor for Stevens Transport will concur with my doctor's findings. The company doctor may say I'm not fit and there goes my plans to work for Stevens.

The best thing you can do is let your recruiter know what your medical conditions are before you arrive for class orientation. Best to you!
