You're correct, it would be embarrassing to have to be jumped off, pulling a reefer (aka 53' jump box)
They have shutdown protection, when your 12v accessories stop running, time to start the truck for a bit...
Layton and Payette have spots to park your bobtail, and plug in.

Is texting tom the trainer the one that recently rolled his truck and trailer with a load of Coors on the I-70 on ramp from the 58 in Golden, CO? I heard he had a trainee with him too, ouch!

It was a trainer out of Denver that rolled his truck. Both him and the student were wearing their seatbelts and are fine. That's all I have been told. The truck was sitting in the Denver yard Monday morning if any of you get through that way, perhaps its still there. It was a 2012 Cascadia. It goes to show all of us that you have to be paying attention all the time and limit your distractions.

    Why was the trainer driving?
My trainer drove the first 3hrs, and then maybe 2 hrs total for the 3 weeks I was with him (1st serious mountain pass - Cabbage, and one night I ran out of hours, and we got held up in traffic to make our destination)
That's how I train as well. I already know how to drive/haul/do May things. What is the trainee learning from the passenger seat?

We got out east on 84 today and the trainer said "hey see them there mountains, you know what that is?" I said "yep, cabbage." And he said "Yep", your turn to drive". I only missed one shift, but that's all it took. Dead stop about 1/3 of the way up. :biggrin_25512: that sucked. Got going again and no problems the rest of the way. It was a good day overall. Gotta head back to Portland tomorrow after a repower for a driver needing to get home. Gotta sleep now if I can. Later all
