When I took the test there were 10 right hand turns. Turning too wide was -1 point, hitting a curb was a failure. You were allowed 25 points on my test. Buy yourself some room.

If nobody else is using it, take up that space.

"If in doubt, swing it out"

Great Job! New you had it in you! If your going with Roehl you will be taught well. Joe, Dave, Keith again, all good guys. Don't let them get to you. They are only trying to make you a safe driver. You will enjoy training and probably make some good friends along the way.
Good Luck, have fun, learn lots.

    Rich4trucking,

Bumping curbs and short swinging a turn, though not good, do happen. I haven't been to all of Roehl's drop yards, but every one that I have been to show evidence of drivers missing the entry aprons. You'll see plenty of ruts off to the side of the entries to their drop yards. I think that the boulders should be moved in a bit.

Best wishes to you. Roehl's orientation and Evo's are excellent. Enjoy them, and learn well. Welcome aboard.

its been a long time since i posted anything. i just finished evolution 3 with roehl and let me tell you I have learned so much. My skill level has gotten so much better. it is amazing how much easier it is to do everthing now then when i first started. my advice to newbis is either though it is rough at the beginning dont give up. listen to your instructers dont act like you know evrything. it is a very big adjustment being a truck driver. its not just a job its a lifestyle. what i learned is not everything will go your way. life is not perfect. roehl is a great company. they put safety before anything. but no matter what company you go for make sure you do your ressearch first before making the decision to sign with anyone. ask questions. good luck to you all
