The equipment that needs the most fixing is the nut holding the steering wheel. (4 wheelers and big trucks alike)
Like the bumper sticker says, "You just can't fix Stupid!"

Not to mention that the economy peaked and has been contracting, since 2005.
Tough times reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
Less potential for interaction. -
Does anyone out here understand what this all means ? because all I see is a bunch of self centered wind bags who think this CSA is no big deal . You sit in these forums and take side with the very people who are screwing you so bad and you have been brain washed like most of the people in this country , Any of you who think this is not ever going to affect you are FOOLS . BILND BRAINWASHED FOOLS and you wont get it until its smacking you in the face .
I am a week away from being thrown into the street because of this crap , they just came and repoed my car ,I just ran out of food , I have no phone service , and i have one more week of internet service , NO ONE WILL HIRE ME . Thank god my wife and daughter do not live here in the USA and I cant even scrap together enough to get out of here . I was close very close . all it took was one 30min DOT inspection and now, its all over . I am ruined .
If you are lucky enough to be in a company that takes care of their trucks , you are lucky but , that does not mean you are going to be free, EVERY DRIVER IN THE USA IS GOING TO BE HIT BY THIS , sooner or later you all will get hit .If you pick up a nail while driving, if you loose a light , , if your company did not fix something that you can never find on a PTI , you will be hit . These are the things that I found out were on my PSP. They went back on everyones DAC (even though they said they were not going to ) , they went back on your MVR and they dug up things that you have already paid for and hit you with it . CSA has nothing to do with safety and I am not going to waste my time explaining what its all about . Why, because its all right there in your face . and if you cant figure it out then I feel sorry for you . We as a nation of drivers could have put a stop to this crap long ago , even long before I started driving but , NONE OF US WILL DO IT . STOP THESE TRUCKS . SHUT IT DOWN and bring this country to its knees . that is the only way to turn the injustice around but NO ONE WILL DO IT . How long are we going to wait before we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ???? not just us truckers but, everyone in the USA , we are being turned into a nation of slaves , this had been going on for so long its not even funny , Its all about the rich . CSA is wrong in every sense . The amount of " BAD DRIVERS" is no little that they really dont make a difference . I challenge anyone to explain what CSA is all about .
The bottom line is this , there are going to be thousands of drivers who are going to end up just like me . HOMELESS , NO FOOD , NO MONEY NOTHING . I have no idea what I am going to do . I did nothing wrong . -
It's no wonder you are out of a job. Go back and look at your previous posts. It didn't take me very long....about 30 seconds to find a little about you. Go back and look at a March 19, 2010 post. I'll repost it for the forum members so they can see how you got in this position:
Seems a bad attitude and your philosphy on life is what got you in this position, not just one (1) DOT inspection. Because you just told us you would not fix anything on someone else's truck and make them richer. Then you post this on 5/31/11:
I guess you had a change of heart. I don't act like I know the entire meaning of CSA or what it is supposed to do. But I don't think CSA is the reason no one will hire you. My guess is your driving record is not the prettiest nor is your attitude. When you list the carriers you worked for previously on your application that carrier contacts them, I'm sure they tell them about your attitude. If I were a betting man that would be the sole reason no one contacts you. Just from reading your post, if I were a company I would not want you working for me. -
One 30 minute DOT inspection and now your life is ruined? How's that?
CSA2010 doesn't penalize drivers directly, unless it's in conjunction with a motor carrier compliance review. But motor carriers can certainly terminate you for having too many points. Is that what happened? You racked up so many points in one inspection that your employer terminated you? I find that hard to believe. More likely, that one inspection added just enough points to your existing record to get you terminated. -
Once again, it's never the fault of the innocent driver who was caught up in guv'mint regulations. THAT HAVE BEEN IN EFFECT FOR YEARS!!! What CSA is now enforcing on drivers, has been their responsibility all along. That would be to find problems and either fix them, have them fixed or refuse to move the defective vehicle.
Looks to me like either there is a long history of moving defective vehicles, or the vehicle inspected this last time (and the driver....HOS?) ..had so many violations as to be completely jacked up with stuff that would have been found if a PTI had been done.
Nobody loses their whole livelihood with one mistake. Unless that mistake is so extreme that there is no other option. I'm thinking we're not hearing the whole history or story here. I'm thinking that what DieselBear dug up only scratches the surface. Nice work, DB.
...bkrnj: You might find some actual bottom-feeder company that will hire you. Make sure you get paid in cash, though. More often than not, true bottom-feeders have trouble with rubber checks. If you can't even get hired by them, then .....Buh-bye. -
Maybe if we took up a collection, we could get him bus fare to the border?

I'll kick in $20.

So if you don't get a inspection then csa doesn't know about it?
