As the title says I am a future Owner Operator. I am not saying in two weeks or any nonsense like that but in 5-6 years. I am about to start CDL training and god willing when I finish I will be a company driver until I am in a financial spot to buy a truck. I am doing this because my family used to own a trucking company with 11 trucks, when I was younger my Grandpa retired and my dad had no desire to run a business so it was sold. I plan to bring the business back. I am doing everything on my own, I feel like having a great advice and support is better than having someone do it for you. I am a project in the making and would love to be set up right so I am going to be a regular for a long time on here.

Good luck to you. Prepare yourself for all the naysayers informing you of your impending doom as a trucker!

Having a trucking company is just like any other, there is no magic formula as many on here would have you believe, haha. Hard work and dedication is key, and you'll be fine.

I have read the doom and gloom all over the forum. I understand hat people are going to say trucking is an awful business to get into but business is hard to get into not just trucking. I guess that is why most businesses fail not just trucking. I am hoping to get enough advice and insight into the business from you guys and my family to be properly prepared for what i will be getting into.

I know the avatar is pretty funny had to get it.

^^^^^Exactly. Trucking is just like any other business. There's a million different ways to go about it, you'll hear all the "pro's" tell you how to do it.
