Yes i do all the time in my car , wait till all traffic clears and swing wide for turn, next as i cruise down the street, i lean foward a bit and look down at my tires and see if anyboby in my blindspot, i guess old trucking habits never go away,
anyway when i do road test i used too get alot of slack for leaning foward too check my lower blindside on both sides, but it saved my butt a few times cause cars like too tuck right next too your fuel tank's, if if you have power mirrors thats better, but if look at mirrors , they really dont point downwards and too me those round spot mirrors are worthless , by the mirrors everything so distored, i want too know how close that car is next too me and those mirrors dont do that for me, but thats just me, and when i do road test and pull the trl from the lot and clear the two trls beside each side i crank it hard right about a half wheel, and look in my mirrors too see if tadems are going with me and not locked up, then i do the same for left, just a old winter trick i taught myself , when my trl tadems would lock up, and i had even a road rest and said thats a good trick and said he liked that idea.

I drove for the GREAT PUMPKIN back in 2002 on a dedicated Wal-Mart account, well things didn't work out lasted only 2 months. In hindsight should have did OTR first before jumping on a dedicated acct. Nothing bad was put on my DAC, would like to get back into the business (preferably with Roehl ) what are my chances/ likelihood of this happening?
-
Roehl will make u go thru school again, your chances sound pretty good tho

Relief! Been on cpap two weeks. Doctor looked at chip today and said I had no apneas. I should be in Marshfield to start Tuesdays class. Long time coming.
Pretty soon I may be a trucker and making over a 100 grand transporting semis. lol Did you guys read that? -
Well the time has come. No more practice. Tomorrow is test day. Everything has lead up to this. I know I am ready for it. We did two pre-cdl runs today, along with a couple of 45 degree backs. Joe said if I drive like I did today i will come back into the yard with less than five points taken off. I also nailed both of my backs, one with no pullups at all! That was my first like that! Joe said it is a good time to be peaking. lol. I just need to keep my intensity down, and to just "drive" the truck. Nice and easy. I am nervous but confident. I am sure all of you drivers have gone through what I am feeling right now.
I am going to get up at the same time. I am going to eat the same breakfast I have eaten for three weeks, and I am going to go about this like any other day even though I know it holds severe consequences.
I just want to thank everyone for their support over the last few months. You have all been a wealth of information. Pa, Notez, Hindsy, Roehl929, and I hope I didn't leave anyone out, you guys have been awsome! Hopefully I will get to meet you guys in person some day. The first beer is on me if I do! Hopefully I will also be posting on my experiences in the Evolution phases.
Well wish me luck everyone. I can use anything I can get. lol. Stay safe and till tomorrow!the_van_rat Thanks this. -
