Just like my load that disappeared, with out a word form stevens. Tyson told me, and I got the run around with stevens, as the load number no longer was in the system.

So two days wasted, and then teach me to help out... get asked if I can bobtail down to the pilot, 10 miles south, grab this load and make the delivery in springfield AR... 1.5 miles from the pilot, driver is out of hours.. and then give him back his trailer as it still has 3 more drops around dallas.. spread out over 2 days.. I did not ask for shag pay before I said yes... silly me, so I all got was 10 miles empty and 1 mile loaded. Then when I did ask for it, I got told nope, just hope the driver pays the favor forward...

Besides this load that was ready at 0200 this morning takes me to ontario CA, where I can get a load to Cheyenne wy for home time. It delivers friday afternoon, so I won't be home until monday or tuesday. Ran into my Trainer today, 3 years later in Amarillo. He is still training, still running whole foods, and still won't drive the stick roads... the roads that they tie sticks to the posts so they can find the road when it snows.

That is why we rarely see each other.

Stopped for the day, in Tucumcari NM. Will make Kingman AZ the first, and then only 300 miles to final on the second. And I am reminding my DM to get me a load home, preferably a drop and hook in Colton, at the WalMart consolidator. Least he can do after I helped out

 

Wife had a going away party at her work at 1730 yesterday. DM was told that this party was the only reason for taking home time. Told her I needed off from tues afternoon until thurs morn.

Dropped in Cleburne yesterday morning expecting to go home afterwards. But Stevens threw in a pickup by DFW airport going back to the yard. Was 1930 before I got to the yard, safety lane, fuel reefer and drop trailer, etc. Well, totally missed my wifes party.

Today Dm has enough balls to call me at 1600 asking if I was ready to come back. Told her hell no, i'll be back when I originally said that I would return.

 

Finally completed our first run from pickup to delivery. Only took 13 days, lol. Nothing out of phoenix, dead head to Cali bit loads are coming back to Tx and we need to hit more zones that the Texas zone, lol...

Gawd, I hope dumb and dumber is not back. PLEASE say that its NOT true!!!

 

Nothing out of Phoenix turns into a "got one loading 20mi away. Oh, BTW, you have 15 minutes to get there"... Made it in time but the #### thing is going back to Texas. Fudge. :/

Side note, my heaviest load to date: 79600 with fuel...

 

Lack of communication and Pro active thinking is running rampent this week. I empty out today at 1500 today cally time and they send me a pre plan that picks up at 0600??? Ok but the deliver is 1100 miles away, gets me home, at 0300 on sunday. I am still 300 miles from my delivery. Not gonna make the appt. I don't trust repowers to get me home.

After an hour of messages and phone calls finally get a pre plan picking up saturday 0600 delivery 0300 monday. That will work. Now to see if it becomes an actual load.

 

Been a while since I posted here.
just finished my lease. Was planning on buying my truck, but read all the rules regarding California and decided I didn't want to own an '09 and not be able to run in there. From what I read, CARB will not allow anything older than an '11 in there beginning in 2014.
So...onto a new lease.

 

California is becoming an island of stupidity. A lot of O/Os including me refuse to go there because of the stupid rules.

 

I lived there for years and can tell you it's always been like that. It's only worse now because they have no money.

 

Xdont know where you got bad info from. Carb 2014 will no longer allow a truck older than 2003. 2017 nothing older than 2007. IT is a 10 year spread bEtween the agE of the engine and can no longer run in california.

 

Stuck on I-20 just 77 miles from delivery. Truck jack knifed and cars flipped all on a bridge. Guessing 3 hours till we move...
