There was one of these deals over in the Chicago area a few years ago that springs to mind. The truck went off of 80/94, and hit the side of the house, not really all that badly. The lady that owned the house said she was furious, until she looked in the cab and saw a bag of jelly beans with a note attched that the drivers daughter had given him as road munchies. She realized that this little girl would never see her daddy again (heart attack) and that the damage to her home was repairable. Kind of puts something like that into perspective.

This driver is ok now, he started to complain about his neck that it hurt later on. BCB and where he crashed was not very far away. He was almost home and he did lost his job as well.
Anyway I feel sorry for that little girl, these kind of accidents can't be helped if you don't have any control of your body (eg: having a heart attack). We had someone who was a customer at Burger King who had a heart attack leaving the store in his pickup truck not long ago. He was able to drive his truck away from the incoming cars into our BK enter sign. But, he didn;t make it and passed away. The sign was very damaged and we decided that his insurance didn't have to pay because his son came by saded trying to get the insurance to pay for the damaged sign. I ended up taking out the sign out of the ground and fill it with dirt. The customer may have saved other people lives that day when he steer his truck into that sign and not the incoming cars because people fly around there.
