muffler

    got something sounds like its loss inside the muffler and plan to replace it with a reg. pipe and not use a muffler ...cummins m11 280 hp 1050tq next year i plan to go 330/1450 lol will the pipe hurt me ????or should i just put the old reg. muffler back on???

    It might hurt your hearing over time. Some law enforcement won't approve. Straight pipes are cool at first, but then the noise becomes overbearing after awhile.

    You can put a high flow Donaldson on it, and it will probably get better milage and be quieter.

    where could i find 1 of those good mufflers that might help mpg lol any part #'s ..i know 1 place around here had the round 1's like on my truck now for sale for like 50 bucks at 1 time..

    I just put a straight-thru muffler on my wagon- it's the same size as the stock muffler, but it has a straight pipe running through it. Bought it in Joplin at the Mafia Chrome shop- Pittsburgh Power Performance Sport model. It's loud, but it's a muffler- and it's another MPG !
