T/A, Greenville, TN, enrte LA for Sat evening or Sunday morning. Playing it by ear with the weather. First real nagative taste in my mouth today with Swift. Sent a msg to DM asking abt fr8 getting out of there with the storm and the state already being placed in State of Emergency, and if this might effect the del, and after 5 hours, no reply. Sent msg again, and was told that a msg was sent to the planners, and that was the last that I heard. Starting to get tired of weekend del, and getting msgs from DM's saying no calls on Friday, busy trying to get out drivers planned for the weekend, and ask where is pplan, told, your pta is in morning, so the weekend planners can take care of you. I remember someone saying something long time ago about the new system with the DM's and the drivers, and all that it takes is one DM that does not pull their weight, and the others will pick up the slack.

 

Not to mention that it's a holiday weekend as well.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, sitting at home now with a pickup Sunday morning to Houston, and a preplan picking up Sunday afternoon with a Tuesday del.

 

Yes, that also. Only hope that P&G up north has a bunch of fr8, but like you said, holiday weekend. If sit all weekend in the storm, there will be a nasty phone call on Tuesday. This will be my 3rd weekend str8 that dropped and no pplan set up.

Richfield UT. Spent the afternoon here and on the way to Denver for an early live unload Sunday. I'm almost expecting sitting till Tuesday being the holiday weekend and I am delivering on a Sunday.
