Do those companies pay you .26cents a mile for all dispatched miles the truck travels while in training? Do you start making .30cents a mile as soon as you go solo? Do you get raised to .32cents a mile at 60,000 miles, .34cents a mile at 90,000 miles, and .36cents a mile at 120,000 miles? And do your training miles count toward these pay increase levels? Do you have the option to transfer to one of the Elite LTL companies after 1 year of OTR service?

Whoa Pardner, slow down a bit. Pre-hire means nothing, really. Especially from these companies. Finish school, attend orientation, get a truck assignment, complete training and see where you're at in 6 months. Bet it's not where you think it'll be.

    out of those 3 companies:

    1st May
    2nd Swift
    3rd Werner

OTHER companies you NEED to look into:

    Watkins Shepard
    Conway Truck Load

and like said above pre-hires are sent to 99% of people that apply that dont mean your hired :biggrin_25513:

Pre Hire is just another way of saying :

If enough people quit & and we got enough trucks & you can drive , we might have a job for you ... But It depends

    That's what it really means

Hey man I've followed your trucking vids on youtube:biggrin_25519:.great stuff!! I'm going to FTA in Asheboro in a few weeks and need 3 pre-hire letters b4 I can attend. What is the best way to get 'em fast and who will accept you? I've been rejected by Werner, Schneider, and U.S. Express so far and getting a lil discouraged being that my employment history has gaps in it and I have had my license revoked due to unpaid fines. I know guys that have felonies and have a cousin who served 14 yrs. for murder and he has his CDL. Please help a guy out!!

Maybe you should just "get the hint"!

Establish a better work history, and show you are a "stand up kind of guy" by paying your obligations.....maybe then someone will give you a chance.

Right now....you aren't what companies look for in an employee!
