i dont consider my self a real trucker as most days i only log 250 to 300 mi. ive been a dirt hauler, concrete mixer driver, asphalt hauler, water truck driver you name it in the rock and sand ind. now i haul bulk cement in neumatic tankers 125,000lbs gr.but never freight.i found this site when i was looking for info. on my current truck. a 2004 pete.379 cat. c15 /fuller 18 speed not sure of rear end gearing ive been in this truck now for a year and a half. i read that you should keep the r p m down on this motor. i run it between 1500 and 2000 seems to run fine . i run in no. nevada some time up to tahoe love the power this unite has.any way seems to be real good info.here

Welcome to the forum and all I can say, other than agreeing with gears, is if you can operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and professional manner without any injuries, well then you are a trucker in my books. Again welcome....
