When I leased my truck it had all kinds of problems. EGR valve bad, needed a new radiator, flex hose leaking exhaust ... I'm sure they charged the previous driver for those repairs but did not make them.

Well that's how these crooks keep making truck loads of $$$! They're charging for repairs they're not doing but multiple x's charging for them.

Again with TransAM!
Did ole Johnny stop the inspection line when you pull through the inbound? That's when you should get the inspection.
If it was an L/P he can't stop you from getting an inspection while you are there but if his lease papers don't have it then screw johnny and take it to KW where I hear he has part ownership or something to do with them OR don't worry that and just pay for your own inspection with a reputable company that TA can't deny! I would have told them that seeings how they refuse to inspect the truck in your presence to discuss every "damage" then you will because it's still your truck (it's actually a rental on a L/P BS lie) and you haven't received a signed inspection report then you are going to go to home and take a vacation and have it inspected there when you feel like it! (don't really do that unless you have a good spot in the driveway or behind a fence in the pasture with a really big and usually in a foul mood long horn steer or big mad dog for when the repo and tow truck driver appear and you get a abandoned or some bull crap Johnnies BF is good at clicking on hirerights website!!)
Do as I tell in the quit thread! Any of you who has stumbled in here and are still in school or training read the "What to do when you get your truck" thread! DO EXACTALLY what I lead you through! DO NOT let that truck hyptionize your arse UNTIL long after you have gone home to let the lawyer read that contract, but better yet stop at OOIDAs office at Grain Valley just before the Petro on 70EB and ask them to explain it to you well that is after they look at you then out the door to verify it's a TA truck and then watch as they roll on floor laughing their arses off and you'll know you made a boo boo and turn around and take the I'm stupid clause and get out of the contract as allowed by your gooberment without any repercussions! ! Not even then! When you get out of the cab then either fall into a trance or run screaming off the yard!
If you are still so insane as to sign any lease after all the warning experienced with many years drivers have written about and you fall for some still wet behind the ears company cheerleaders or the BS that falls out of the blowholes under the noses of those work out of car sales persons recruiters. Then take you arse in both hands bend over and kiss it good by and go sign your life away! BUT! Follow those directions on how to document the truck before you DO sign any paper! If there is ANY issue mechanical or comsetic then DOCUMENT IT! If that BFI doesn't fix it then ask for the next truck! There will be some moron that will sign for it! Don't be the one! If you aren't that truck savy then ask to take it to a shop as reccomnded by every auto group from the AAA to AARP! Have it gone over by a mechanic of your choice! If BFI refuses then I hope that you have your answer to just what will happen to you from that moment on! It ain't going to be pretty either! If possible see if that mechanic can come to the yard and do his inspection.
OK that's enough for now. Go read these two threads or the first ones and then go read some more of mine or a book on things needed when starting to go into business on your own! But several tips. You know nothing about trucking and a driving mill and a little training is not enough to learn how to get screwed in trucking by your employer! Do NOT do a lease wirth ANY company that controls everything about "your" truck! Really if they control:
-Freight
-engine setup
-speed of truck
-delivery times and pick up times
-where you can drive as routes
-what you can do to the truck (why do anything to it until you actually own it with title in hand not stupid lease papers!
-when you can go home! A REAL O/O can deliver and go home!
A L/P because all he really is,is a company driver making all the payments on the truck has to ask to go home? BUT! BUT! BUT! I thought you were in business for yourself??? ROFLMFAO! See, an L/P is pure bull crapola and you are the rock the bull is peeing on!
