you can get a job, don`t sweat it. you just wont be working for a mega carrier, but that`s not a bad thing!
123456 Thanks this. -
A refusal is usually considered a conviction by most carriers. In fact, you can be convicted in most states for DWI by your refusal. You should get a copy of your MVR and see if it is on your record. Some carriers will consider you if your DWI/DUI is at least 7-10 years old. Fewer will consider multiple DUI's. If your refusal in on your MVR or criminal history then you could have a problem for a few years. I would first get a copy of my criminal history and MVR and then, based upon what is on my record, talk with a few recruiters and see what they say. Your options are more limited when starting out.

1991 is not an issue it's old enough to not bring it up. Give them what they ask for not extra. They ask for 7 years kep it at that, for that matter go back to the court and ask to have it removed since you've been a good boy.
1999 is also old enough it may not be an isssue, However here's the deal.Refusing a test, breath, blood or air your option is viewed the same as guilty by the industry. Maybe not legally. But Honestlt legal has very litttle to down with trucking unless its to the adantage of the company.
Just remember only put on the app what they ask for. -
And remember one more thing:
If you're not absolutely certain that you have that problem under control, please find another line of work.
Good luck.
