I've slept in both Volvo and KW. IMO, it's six of one and half dozen of the other. If a guy needs leg room to sleep, get a ProStar and put folded up blankets or pillows at each end of the bed. It's already a twin XL, but doing this will make the bed more than a foot longer. I had a 6'5" boyfriend who had no trouble stretching out in this one.
You can't do that with KW.

American-Trucker and Injun Thank this. -
LOL
To me they are the same with the exception of the top bunk. You have more room up top on the freightliner than the volvo.

You're right. Volvo sleeper mattresses are about 4-6inches more narrow that a standard twin...which is what most of the other manufacturers use.
I had a 1999 International 9900Eagle. I extended the bunk out in it and put in a full size mattress. That was a comfortable sleeper. Unfortunately, the Cat 3406E gave up the ghost after only being in that truck for three months. It blew a head gasket. Would have liked to put a Cummins in it, but it wasn't my truck. That Cat had a weak jake and couldn't pull its way out of a downhill grade. And it only got 5.5mpg on a really good run. Except after the head gasket blew. It got 7.2 then. -
You are way off. Cat is the low RPM engine, not cummins.I have driven a couple Detroits and I liked them, good power, efficient, and parts are affordable. Cat yellow comes with a big $ premium. I have an 05 FL Columbia with a C15 and a 13spd. 1200 rpm at 60 mph. It gets decent economy if I'm running normal freeway runs. Most of my time is spent in the mountains so the economy can vary. The Challenger Thanks this.
