I don't know about the team number... but wherever you got that solo number from, its seriously bogus. From both a company and lease perspective.
-
Bogus? Really? Wow. Where does your information come from? Do you have a relative that works there too? LOL!
I understand questioning the number, I was shocked, more so at the team number, but thats the way it is, and the reason for the speech given at the recent meeting. There are a lot of things going on there that would shock you, believe me.
I'll give you another number. 65%. Supposedly that is the current number representing the utilized capacity of the solo fleet.
And this is just me doing math here, no one told me this, but according to this 65% number, Primes number for 100% capacity should be around 3040 miles per week. No way thats going to happen. But figuring in time off for repairs, hometime, etc., Mr. Low wants to see 85% or 2584 miles per week on average.
I think that could happen, but a lot of things would have to change significantly in my opinion. -
Like I said... totally bogus. I haven't had weeks that bad - not that I'm chasing miles - unless I head for the house. Average miles over the last 62 weeks are 2364 for me, and my gross revenue over that time has been increasing. You couldn't keep the company guys around for 1964 a week.
-
What ever you say Chief. You obviously know more about the subject than the company itself does. By the way, were you at the recent stake holders meeting? I'm guessing you must have missed that one judging by your comments...

I'll take my numbers thank-you.

All the tolls up there are EZ-Pass, and we get billed on that once a month, and then we get the 28% reimbursement from Prime. I had a month last year where i spent almost the entire month in the NE and ended up with a toll bill for $1000. From that I figure on a week spent in the NE costing me about $250 in tolls, and getting about $70 back from Prime, giving me a cost of approx $180 a week in tolls for weeks I run the NE. So that would make the $2500 about $2320, which I won't complain about.windsmith Thanks this.

Well, I'm certainly making more on the lease side, but its more about being independent of company employment and being my own boss. I wouldn't suggest anyone jump into a lease until they've had a year or two to get this figured out on the company side.
