I was told that you cant take your truck home. Is that true? Because if it is I'm going to do the 6 days on 3 off and split seat.
Also was told we cant have a refrigerator in the truck.
I'm going to start on 9/24/11 in Green Bay,WI

If you're slip seating, then I would think the truck would have to be at a terminal when you're off.
123456 Thanks this. -
Yeah but I was told even if I do my 34hr restart at home ((Milwaukee)) I would need to drop the truck in Sturtevant,WI and thats about 45 miles from my home.
-
That sounds about typical for some of the big companies if you live within a certain distance from a terminal. Talk about a pain in the backside.
-
You can probably take it home if the load goes thru the house...depends on dbl.
By the way, you northerners are complaining about 45 miles? Geeezzz......I have to travel twice that... -
Did The Great Pumpkin not make themselves clear ??
Or, was it NOT what you wanted to hear from them??
-
Please don't run the load thru the house. It would make a big mess....
-

Now that's funny. -
all they allow in there trucks is them cigerette lighter inverters in there trucks so yea there goes the fridge and micro!!
-
Yeah...one of the things I suggested was that they should install them. My last company was more than happy to install my big inverter. They did it very well. Put big fuses in and everything.
You would think it was a no brainer for driver retention and all. But I got laughed at and they said inverters causes fires. I said that drivers not knowing what they are doing causes fires. The shop should install them......but they are set on drivers not being comfy....
