Ok, so I tested out back in Aug....I was told my truck was a recovery out of VA, the F.B. driver got hurt so were bringing the truck in. I was told I could wait in Marshfield or go to Gary. I was already in WI so why not wait there for it. The truck finally comes in and is in the shop for 2 #### days getting repairs done because the previous driver obviously didn't give a ##### about his truck. (This thing was trashed inside and out) And I just had more repairs done in Gary this past weekend, not to mention the inside was positively disgusting.
So after being out for 3 weeks I have been slowly cleaning and scrubbing the inside of the truck and hopefully start on the outside this weekend while I am home
First truck, it's a mess!

They didn't clean the truck for you in Marshfield? Keep the receipts for everything you use and get a PO number from maint. so you can at least get your money for cleaning supplies back.
-
there is no excuse for that, you should have pitched a fit when they assigned it to you.

I had to go get my truck from new jersey it was in decent shape but I hope to clean her up good when I get home next week..
-
I know starting out you're not going to get the cream of the crop truck, so how long does it take to upgrade once you go solo?
-
I like to expect the worst in those kinds of situations, that way there are no surprises
I'll be ready!
Sorry to hear about it though, they should have taken care of a *bit* more than just the guts while it was in.
At home depot I've seen these small kits with a couple face masks, gloves, and safety glasses. Better pack one of those! -
L. I hope you didn't get 6003 that was my first truck, I had it for a week then they sent me to jersey to get my freightliner... 6003 was rough I couldn't believe they go very it to me... But it was supposedly sold.. But good luck with your truck... Roehl has alot of oldies out there but I have seen worse... U could have gotten the crappy trailer dog they had in ellenwood that they loaned out to a guy I felt sorry for him..

I have refused to drive a dirty truck. I quit my job for three days because of it. They called me back once the truck got back from detail.
You have to put your foot down in this industry and refuse to be walked on. Once they walk on you it never stops. I see guys get treated like crap at my work and they just take it and put their heads down like beat dogs. Same people never even look at me funny. Maybe its my size and demeanor but still you need to have back bone.
Charge them a cleaning bill! -
lol george....my size is very limited but my bark is loud and I make sure stuff gets done...I took the truck back to gary for repairs and told them either all the repairs are fixed or I want a different truck, or you can get me a rental car and I will go home until either option is done. I knew coming in that I was going to get a older truck, but the guy that had this truck just did not take care or it at all! (PAOLDSCHOOL) I appreciate the advise, i have saved all my receipts and I have been taking pictures...because I will be in Marshfield on the Sept. 20 for load securment and I was thinking of going and knocking on someones door and show them the condition (molding food, spilt something all over the floor, mold under the shifter boot, ETC...) and see what they have to say about it....
