While on your trainer's truck the cool weather bag will work out fine. It will also be easier to stuff in a corner. Remember to keep your belongings to a thin minimum as your space will be at a premium on a trainer's truck.

That said, once you get out on your own ... be sure to have a bit of extra bedding ... you never know when you're going to have the wonderful experience of being stranded on I-80 in Wyoming in February. The last thing you need to deal with in that situation is to run out of fuel and not have enough bedding to keep warm till the storm breaks.:yes2557:

I always kept a military style sub-zero banana bag on the truck for just such and emergency ... never had to use it, but winter was easier with it there.:biggrin_25519:

Ok, I've been seeing this a lot lately. Someone suggested bringing 3 to 4 weeks of clothing. That's a nice idea, but IMO it's a little unrealistic. There are laundry facilities out there just for this reason. My suggestion: bring no more than you can clean in two small loads max.

The better you are at keeping your things to a minimum the better you're going to get along with your trainer. However, if you happen to get a Jacka$$ that refuses to give you the time to do laundry simply refuse to shower for as long as you can handle it ... he / she will get the idea that a clean you is better than a dirty you. :biggrin_25525:

On the unfortunate down side, there are some trainers (rare, but they're out there) that still will refuse to let you do your hygienic maintenance because they never do theirs. Sorry, but there are some real pigpens out there. You know who you are!!! :biggrin_2551:

Should you get saddled with one of these particular losers, please contact your training department and find another trainer. Complain loudly ... IMO there is no excuse for this sort of behavior when you're supposed to be training someone.:biggrin_2554:

:biggrin_25519: The great north tundra , okay not so great tundra of north America, get's it fair share of ice storm's, i found these by accdent , while i was ordering my food supply's from a hiking web site, and you can buy em anywear, but i found these get great traction on ice or snow, there called ice trak's goes on bottom of your shoe's and dig down in the ice and you dont slip and fail, they got a bunch of little sharp points , that dig in really well and dont take up much room and very resonable in cost , compared too a back surgy :biggrin_25519:

Screw that, you gotta shut down for the night at a truck stop every day or so, use some cash and buy a shower.

Most time when i was on the road , and parked for the night, someboby was always, said on cb , they got some extra shower coupons over the radio, so all you had too do, was go over there truck and get em, most time there was free, after so many fuel stop's , you can build up quite a stack of em, i had a bunch and i showered every chance i could get and i still had a bunch, and i would just hand out too a driver or a team if they wanted em, most time when we was teaming they only gave us one , so all you have too do ask at fuel desk and they will give you one, there no reason too go around smelling like a sewer:biggrin_25512:, unles you want be first in line at the buffet :biggrin_2559:
