Back in Richfield, dropped off another barney trailer to be scrapped or whatever. Took the second leg of the run this time from Indy to Chicago. Wasn't bad little bit of construction but no major traffic. Tomorrow we will be picking up a Menards load, so that should be fun.
For those of you coming next, I suggest a seat pillow or something like that, its not bad when you are driving, but the back seats aren't comfortable in the least. Also a good book, because its boring as can be when you aren't the one driving.
Starting in Trenton 8/22

Looks like you are rolling right along db. Do you graduate at the end of this week? What do feel is the most challenging part of the training? Thanks for the posts!

Left Richfield at 6:15 am and bobtailed down to Plano Il to pick up a Menards load. Was a pretty uneventful drive, and the Dist. Center is in the middle of no where. The trailer we hooked to was brand new, and we got to scale the load and slide tandems, was a good exp. We got back into trenton at 8:15pm on the dot. Was a little anxious waiting to see if they where going to get us out before the 14hr clock was up.
All totaled in the 5 days of Road driving got 800 miles, and like 15hrs of driving in, got to see different routes to take from Trenton to Richfield and back.
Also learned in the last 10 mins. sitting at Menards in Hamilton, the seats in the back of the Freightliner are hooked to the air ride system and adjustable. Yeah that would have made thing a whole lot more comfortable.
Didn't have a chance to look for you Sully, Bill had us to a quick pretrip and get rolling out of there. -
Graduated Today, Have 3 days of orientation starting monday, then out with the trainer asap. Hardest part of the training, was reading the little green books of regulations, that thing sucks so much, but you have to know them. Also my alley docking sucked to start, but once I stepped back and looked at what the truck was doing when you are positioning it, and talked to myself as I was doing it, it starts to click. -
