Alright I had to clean up several posts and issue some warnings for bad behavior.
I'd like for one of the forum members to tell me why its so hard to act like the adults some folks are claiming to be?????????????????
I'd expect 5 yr old kindergartners to misbehave on the playground.
I expect some thing different from those that claim to be adults.
Take the politics to the politics section and the insults etc just leave them behind.DenaliDad, TLeaHeart, Lilbit and 1 other person Thank this. -
Another guy spewing about a lease that has no idea what hes talking about.Every five weeks I take 7 to 10 days off,and im never in the hole. Why,because I know what Im doing.Do you think that a company driver being paid, lets say 35 cents a mile,or me making around 40 cents a mile is better off.Who cares what your paying for,the bottom line is how much money I made.Do you think that company driver that is making the company all thay money,is not helping said company buy trucks and supplies to run that company.Wake up dude.As far as our leases,we have walk away leases,we can terminate the leases at any time.with no repercussion other than maintenance to return truck to proper operating value.Thats what your maintenance account is for.A large majority of drivers that move back to company or move to another company actually come out ahead in the process.HMMMM.WE ARE SO FLEECED BECAUSE WE KNOW HOW TO OPERATE EFFICIENTLT,LMAO
Heck,in fact Im sitting at home right now,with1660 dollars hitting the bank this week, and another payment not due for 8 days.Man im so ignorant!!!!!!!LMAO

You guys that cant operate efficiently enough to lease a truck shouldnt be leasing a truck anyway.Granted, most drivers that are recruited into a lease have no idea what they are getting themselves into, and are not prepared for what it takes to be successful doing so.More education on the process should be provided, and it is not. That is a flaw in the system. But if your truck is ran properly, you can be very successful doing so.I didnt get rich in my lease,I netted only 48k lastyear, not great, but not bad.And I took 70 days off last year.Probably could have made more, but I choose to go home for time off.Poor, poor fleece operator. And at no time was I in the hole, even after time off.I quess Im not running my truck the way you guys did.Maybe I could learn something from you guys.

Too bad. I was going to pick your brain about Stevens getting to Michigan. I'm a West Sider.
But you're gone now. Bummer. -
Gone from trucking, but not dead. What would you like to know.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.

Well, the biggest thing is how often and with how much ease did Stevens get you here? I haven't started yet, but I have my eye on a L/O slot (for lots of financial personal reasons) and I wonder if being a L/O would give me a wee bit more flexibility.
As I said in another forum, Stevens is the only national company I have not seen driving by the freeway outside my office, I-96. I know the first year or so with any training company is pretty much a crap shoot tilted toward the house and I have absolutely clear understanding of what I have to do, but not having seen at least one Stevens truck is a bit of a concern to me. They hire a lot of drivers from the CDL school in my area, so they think highly of us in the beginning and we all have to pay our dues, but what then?
Any thoughts? -
Dude, you know absolutely nothing about our leases. We have a walk away lease. We can walk away at any time with know repercussions. The last lease I had and completed I got money back from my maintenance account.Who cares whether we pay to maintain the truck, you write it off at the end of the year.I took seventy days off last year. How many did you have.I made a good living. So its pretty obvious here who knows what they are talking about. And its obviously not you.And where is it you are at that you are demanding fair treatment.Lets hear it hotshot.

This whole conversation has very quickly headed to the toilet, IMHO. A couple of guys arguing like kids.
Please stop.Nycmex77 Thanks this. -
Best to just ignore the trouble makers, they are just looking for you to get mad, don't respond and the trolls find another home.
Nycmex77 and Corporal_Clegg Thank this.
