Why use "n e one" when "anyone" takes less space?

good luck man, im starting to not like it too.. i think i got more hours in the winter than i did this summer, so i dont think i'll be around too much longer.
i see a lot of similarities, with the afternoon starts and all that bs. and i've been here over a year... the one thing ill always remember is how much they build this job up, how its the greatest gig out there, and basically you shouldnt even look anywhere else because you've found the holy grail of trucking.. but then you talk to the guys that have been here 10 years, and ive had a couple of them say how they just do their job and go home, because they know that its full of a bunch of backstabbers and no one is reliable (ie. the situation with revoking a personal day).
...well i wrote more than i wanted to, but basically the only thing good about this job is the pay, but when you're not even reaching the full potential on that + the abundance of bs you go through, its not worth it. you'll be fine wherever you go.

    ACH1130 Thanks this.

well and an apprentice we were treated like gold, had food bought for us, drinks in the classroom etc. Doing linehaul training is when i started to find out more about how the company works. One guy took me twice for training, since my last place i didnt get to c yet and he was going cuz he got back to late in the morning and couldnt do the longer run, since by this time we knew each other he started telling me about how the place works, and how he only does linehaul cuz he cant stand the bs in p/d n e more, then the following week for p/d training the senoir guys said the same thing, and once i was complete with my class all of a sudden we got treated like dirt

This varies from state to state... and is a testament to how screwed up the unemployment system is...

    For example:

Many states require one to be fired to be eligible to collect unemployment... all a person that wants to collect then has to do, is show a few full time hours on pay stubs... then, back it up with pay stubs showing 2-3 hour work days... and viola, they get unemployment(at least in my state). You quit, you get nothing.

In North Dakota, someone can willfully quit a job... and show that the company they worked for changed their pay... three times within 6 months and they can collect unemployment.

i remember those days, we still randomly get stuff like that on occasion for reasons that i dont even bother to look into anymore when they happen. but thats the least of my worries.
I wouldn't say i get treated like dirt, so it sounds like i have it a little better where i am, but after this summer i just don't see any progress. obviously winter isnt going to be any better, and unless 5 people quit or get fired i'll be on flex another year.
I personally think you're making the right choice. I'm not saying its the worst company ever, i know i signed up for unpredictability, but not for YEARS of it. I'd be suprised if i'm here in another 6 months.
