I don't know why drivers point their antennas forward now. I know why I did back in the day. We used to run 90 or more at night and it helped reception because they weren't strait back at 100 MPH. Heavy springs were also required on fiberglass sticks. I broke several off before I got them.
Why do drivers hang broken tarp straps from their steps?

It's for spearing birds for dinner.

I used to keep three on my steps in the winter, kept me from slipping on the slick steps. Nothing like having a piece of artificial turf to wipe my feet on but got the job done.
Now broken and hanging is something I have no clue about, perhaps someone can answer that one. -
I always used kabob skewers for that.
johnday Thanks this. -
there battle scars, and a indication of how long you been around doing this nasty asp job for a living.

It's more like a "bug" look.

Yeah, but ya gotta point 'em jjjuuuuussssssttttt right to get good reception. -
I hang them thru the drain holes in my headache rack, down thru the steps on my cargo boxes. The tray on my rack contains a few odds n ends, including a chunk of chain should I get stuck or to pull another out. So when it rains or snow builds in there in the winter, the runoff comes out the drain hole...and rust stains the lid of my box. so I mounted the rubbers, hook at each end to keep them in place, to act as a line for the water/schmutz to run down. It works well. I can't think of a good reason to hang them off a step...but maybe if we all do it, we can pretend it's an elite club we belong to
hahaha

Look at or laugh at? These fools just make me laugh.

i always kinda think the drivers that complain about chicken lights and such are the ones that drive the exact same truck as the other 1000 drivers in their company--no individuallity--just one big herd of sheep
