I am still on the truck with trainer. We are on a run from Atlanta to Ft. Collins. Even if we were to get back to Brooks this week I will be shy of three weeks by only a few days. I could not in good consciounse have taken the offer after two days. Though the wallet wanted me to, I could not.

Beer case labels to Budwesier then off to Coors..you wh00r! lol
You can solo out anywhere, there is a truck for you. Remember, I solo'd my student in Brrok, when I thought I was going to get you, but then had to take him to Payette to pick up a tractor. Honestly, IF you solo in Brooks...AFTER you get the ok from safety, I would SERIOUSLY talk to them about him wanting to solo you after 2 days. I literally still cannot get past that!

Ya training pay bites.
-
Training pay at May does bite. Solution? Majority of the trainers just refuse to take a student. The new payscale for trainers will be increased immediately.
platinum Thanks this. -
pretty sure he was referring to the trainEE getting anxious to get off the truck and make more than $50/day
BTW, 4cpm and $500 solo bonus would be much better!
But, because trainess don't last all that long before moving one, it's hard to justify paying that much.
If they took a little more time in selecting their trainers (texting tom, mr 2-days, etc) the trainess would stay longer, due to a better initial experience, and the increased cost of training them would be justifiable
But hey, what do we know? we're just dumb truck drivers, right? -
There are some rumblings of changes coming to the trainer pay scale. It would pay the trainer more and give more incentive. Just in case they are rumors that I am hearing, I will not go further on here though.

Cindy did send out the message a few weeks back about BIG changes, to the benefit of the trainers, coming VERY soon...here's to hoping!!

so what do i do if i end up with one of those two trainers that was mentioned above. I hope i am not stepping out of bounds here but with my past experience driving for Andrus, Dick Simon, East West out of Rapid City SD, and being owner/operator i think i could do it in a week, however hopefully i will get a good trainer to teach me the May way and i will go with what he says as well. Do you guys think that would be to soon?
-
Nobrand that only requires the reach around technique during bunk.time, after that you will get soloed out quickly, promise.

Poor safety director Terry in Denver. He got fired...
Why? I mean after all he did only have one year of experience in the trucking industry. That's plenty enough time to become safety director of over 100 drivers in that terminal, isn't it?
