driver appreciation at the company I work for

    Hi all I have been working for JBTC for almost a year and this week is driver appreciation week and I was thinking to my self great another hat or shirt. Boy was I wrong on that


    I have worked for Covenant, I for the life of me cant remember what we got for driver appreciation week's

    I also worked for Maverick for a while I do remember getting a hat and food.

    now on to today. I dropped my load in woodhaven MI as I have tomorrow off for personal reasons. My DM said come on to the yard before you head home and get some food and the gifts that we got for the drivers, I said ok here is what was given to me for driver appreciation

    I got a Portable Electric cooler (cool chill 40)

    and I also got a Rand McNally TND 710 Truckers GPS

    WOW many many thanks to my company

    NICE my Hubby who works for JBS got told IF he had been around a plant at lunch time to come in and he would get lunch. He also got told his dispatcher couldn't talk to him this am because it was her turn to cook. LMAO

    That's pretty cool aggie. One can appreciate that alot more than a hotdog and a hat that doesn't fit.

    It definately boosted your company morale and even though the company spent $500-$600 or so, they just saved themselves money with a happy productive employee that will make them much more. Bonuses and gifts to employees have always been a positive company tool. Just to take one day and say hey, we do care, means alot.

    My old boss told me I could have all the free shakes I wanted. Well when I went to see him he shook my hand and asked me if I wanted another.:biggrin_25523:

    Then they fed us and gave us some nice gifts. Course that was after harvest season...
