Average 1800 to 2500 loaded miles a week. I try and keep my dhead miles under 150 miles per trip. I would say an average dhead for the week is 600 to 700 miles a week. If I get in a slow freight area I will d/head 300 to 400 miles to a better freight lane, instead sitting somewhere for the perfect load that might never appear.
Just remember your getting $75% over here, so you kinda have to get out of the mileage mentality. -
I am seriously considering Malone and I have read several times about agents and load boards, is this info provided by Malone and if not how do u find these agents? U guys discuss running lanes and I am curious to know if rolla Missouri would be a profitable area to be based from and be able to get decent home time

hey runningman, i seen a red freightliner crst flatbed going up 26 right about saluda,nc and a gold one right behind it, both trucks had bundles of round bar, that wasn't you was it?
-
Nope not me.

Access to the load board will be given to you during orientation, along with an updated list of all Malones agents. As far as Rolla, Mo. being a decent area, we have recently gotten some new freight out of St. louis and Kansas City, so you would be fine and shouldn't have any issues getting home or back out.timpte Thanks this.

Ok thx runningman....if u don't mind me asking about what is the average after fuel and all costs that actually heads to the house? Again thx for ur time..and who in recuiting would you suggest to deal with on lease purchase info?
-
I have gotten back into a pretty regular pattern. I have averaged $1718.75 to the house for the last 4 weeks after all expenses. I take 25% of that and put it away for quarterly taxes and my "rainy day " fund. Before I broke my elbow in June and was out of work for 4 weeks I was on pace to gross $237K this year, and thats being home just about every weekend.
As far as recruiting I would suggest the Dallas recruiting office ( you can find that number on there website or in any of the wisbooks at truck stops) I have had several friends use that office and they have gotten great results. Good luck, and anymore questions just ask.timpte Thanks this. -
I would guess thats probably not the average for all trucks though right? Is there a balloon payment at end of the lease and if so what is the round about amount of it?
-
Once you learn the system its not hard to average that kind of money. I don't even try that hard ....I could make another 500 or 600 a week if stayed out and ran the weekends. After awhile you learn where the good paying freight lanes are and which agents have the better freight.
As far as the balloon payment there is a $5000 payment at the end of your lease. You can either put money away each week ( I put $50 bucks aside each week in a savings account solely for that purpose) or you can just pay it out by extending your lease until its paid off.
