I always wonder why they haven't applied Transition Lens technology to windshields. That would be cool.

Leaving good ideas in your head for too long will come back to get you Levi. I came up with shoes that have a scrubby sponge on the bottom for cleaning the floor. Stolen, by some lady that calls them Shammy Shoes. Dammitt. I came up with the idea of single servings of Spam. Stolen, by the makers of Spam no less. Dammitt. The self lowering toilet seat, the Whistler (same concept as the clapper, but for people without hands), Peel and stick make-up, the list goes on and on. Act now Levi, before you see Anthony Sullivan hawking some rendition of an idea that you came up with years ago.

How much do little lenses like that cost? $$$
Now imagine how much a windshield would cost? $$$$ Then loose it to a rock chip or crack. Don't think that idea would last long. Mirror idea sounds more reasonable. Not hating on the idea just thinking it be to expensive and not everyone would be into it which means no profit which means no production. I'd purchase it for myself if it came into production, dunno how many others would.
