I don't stop to pee (usually, I can hold it, but sometimes I do have to stop but usually I can wait for a scheduled fuel or other stop), you really think I'm going to pull off to answer a phone call when I can hit a button on my headset and talk to someone like they were in the seat beside me?

Better turn off that radio, those sirius talk shows could distract you, ditto for audiobooks. Be a good robot in your sterile cab and look at the white line for 10+ hours a day.

This is just another knee jerk reaction by a bunch of bureaucrats trying to justify their jobs. They target the trucking industry because trying to get a bunch of truckers together to agree on a subject is like trying to herd cats.

Our liberties and freedoms are being eroded one little bit at a time, not by presidents, but by our congress and senators and the bureaucracies to whom they delegate their power.

Cats actually can hang out together. More like a bunch of silver back gorillas.

Their should be a docked thread with all the web pages and phone numbers to contact with bills and laws that are going to be against us not for us. Should be a thread on the main page first READ THIS FIRST SUPPORT YOURSELF AND YOUR FELLOW TRUCKERS, then have all the links posted what we need to go on or phone numbers so we can voice our opinion. First post should be with all the info and it should be closed cause their no reason to leave post under it. Just new web site to contact or new phone number if someone finds something out send it to a admin or a mod and they can post it.

Sometimes people don't know were to look unless you put it under their nose!

    Just my 2cents.

Ever tried to get multiple cats to do what you want them to do? Let alone one? I've got 4 now, did have 5. There are times when they are all napping on my bed, and there are times when each of them are in different rooms. The only time they all come running is when I fill up the food dish!:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

I regularly see Colorado State Troopers texting on their cellphones, typing on their laptops, or with cellphones held to their ears. On more than one occasion I've seen troopers drive half on the shoulder half in the lane, or weaving as a result. When I asked the Gov. why this was permitted to happen, he said they are responsible, expierenced drivers. When I pointed out that the majority of truckers drive more miles in a week than most troopers do in a month and we're being told we can't do it, I was told that's a different subject.

Comeon people.... it is a recommendation and we all know that if left up to the FMCSA it will collect dust and never be passed anyway...

If, for some unknown reason it does get passed than all the idiots driving on the road with a phone smashed up against their ear can get a ticket... lets see,,,ticket cost $300..bluetooth cost $100 to $150... I see drivers all the time with a phone against their ear and doing 10 under the posted speed limit.. I see them all the time swerving left and right,,running people out of their lane. Yes, some can multitask better than some but, I don't care who you are, or how great you are at multitasking,, when you are engaged in conversation on a cell phone with you hands involved that is 2 kinds of wrong,,you are involved physically and mentally,, now mentally some are better at multitasking so we can say that if you use a handsfree device, you have created a safer situation. Why are there still drivers NOT using a handsfree device? Are they that broke, or cheap?

I personnaly will not talk on the phone, using a bluetooth, while I am in say, New Jersey... and if I feel the need, I will turn off my radio...not my CB though but I have been know to turn it down.. With all the regs out there, regardless if we like them or not, we need to be on top of our game all the time.. I don't know about you all but, I cant afford a ticket for ANY reason. So, I don't take too many chances out there
