You got that right!! If you are in control of the truck, no way is he going to tell you when you can OR can't take care of yourself. Calm down a bit, take a deep breath and turn the page.

The turnover rate is very high either way I believe USX is around 77% or so plus out of those 250 maybe 60 will get hired most get dq'd on the first day cause something pops up in their background or they fail the physical/drug test -
No these are people that were hired, you do not get an employee number until you are hired. They hired 250 + people in a week. We were supposed to have 77 people in our Orientation, I was told about 67 showed up. We lost another 7 or 8 after the first day, then maybe another 5 or 6 the next day. Not sure how many more were lost after that.
At Tunnel Hill, GA they start the week with the first Orientation session on Monday and is supposed to finish up on Wednesday afternoon, they also start another Orientation session on Wednesday too. I am not sure how many other locations they do Orientation at either.mtnMoma Thanks this. -
Well I meant out of all the orientation locations not just tunnel hill, If my knowledge serves me correctly I believe there are 6 different orientation locations but tunnel hill is by far the largest, but the rest of the statement I agree with

You do get an employee id before being hired. There were people who got numbers because they show you how to use the driver tech, and then after all that they still don't get hired. There were a few in our orientation this happened to. One sat next to me in drvrtec room.

GREAT NEWS, HD RENEGADE !!!!

I have a good friend (a mole of sorts actually) who just happens to work at USX HQ right there on the hill in Chattanooga. He is aware of the recent difficulties with your originally assigned trainer and informs me the company is seriously commited to seeing that you have a much more positive experience with your next trainer. So earnest is the training department in their endeavors to see that new hires are matched with patient, understanding, and empathetic trainers, that they are contemplating bringing back from special assignment one of their most caring and sensitive trainers. This fellow's mentor-like demeanor and subtle teaching technique stand as a beacon to trainers from numerous trucking companies accross the land!!
Here for your enjoyment is a short youtube clip of ABU ALI WAKHIM: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7YMOSoKDOg&feature=player_embedded"]ABU ALI WAKHIM[/ame]esanders79 and 123456 Thank this. -
You know, the amazing thing is this is the same guy I had as a flight instructor years ago! And yet I survived...
Poobah Thanks this. -
When I was in orientation no one was given an employee number until they were hired. They had generic IDs to use for the driver tech.

Poobah
I hope that everything works out for me here. I hate to job hop, and I have meet some pretty good folks from USX too. I have read the good and the bad too.
The lady in the Training department that I have talked to has really been good about everything. Not 100% sure why, but they even switched me to a different Training Coordinator too. I have sent her an e-mail to introduce my-self and let her know what I know, even if she more then likely already knew it!!
Hopefully the 130 hours that I have left will go quickly and I can get out there on my own.
Thank youmtnMoma, NoCoCraig, The Challenger and 2 others Thank this. -
You know I wish you the best brother trucker...
HD_Renegade, Poobah and mtnMoma Thank this.
