Crst malone

I don't mean to offend you but I have spoken with 4 other lease drivers since I started on this post and they all seem to be having trouble to bring home between 600 to 800 a week. Seems to me that maybe u r the exception. All 4 have said that east coast such as SC where u live is terrible to get home reguarly. So my question is can I physically see a pay statement? U can black out all ur personal and company info for ur safety ...please by all means look at my profile and email 1 or 2 I would greatly appreciate it...thx again ahead of time runningman

 

Two years with Malone and our take-home works out to $1888.75 per week for the past month. That's mediocre loads and spending some time at home.

Basically took off 3 months to take care of my Mom. January and Feb were really slow this year. We're looking at ~150,000 at this rate.

 

Money can be made.... 2 weeks ago I pulled 3 loads because of holiday and one day in the shop, $3500 to the truck and I took home $1100; last week I pulled 2 loads and spent the weekend in Panama City with my dad, $4775 to the truck with an approx take home of $1800, this week I am working a little harder for the money but with 2 loads complete and 2 preplanned already along with spending a restart at the house this weekend, $4675 to the truck with an approx take home of $1700.
I still haven't found the "good loads", but I keep moving and try to stay preplanned. I set a goal for money to the truck.... Nothing astronomical or unrealistic, but something that can be achieved with some hard work.

 

Im not that computer savy to know how to email you a copy of one of my pay statements. If my wife can figure it out I will.
As far as guys not making money here, it takes common sense, some business sense, and the desire to work and have some self motivation. Alot of guys come over here, and still have the company driver mentality, know one will hold your hand, you have to be proactive to find loads. If you let dispatch find your loads your behind the 8 ball.
As far as not getting home I live just South of Charlotte, NC and I get home every weekend, unless I choose to stay out. I know where I need to be on Thursday or Friday to find freight to get me home for the weekend. Certain areas have regular freight coming back down in my general area and I plan my loads to put me in those areas at the end of the week. Really its not rocket science.

Call recruiting, they do offer some sort of medical plan, but I don't know much about it as I am on my wife's insurance.

 

I'm curious to know what happens to the remainder of the maintenance fund once the lease is over. Does that go the the owner of the truck or does it just get absorbed into the CRST/Malone system.?

 

It just gets absorbed into the system......this is one of me least favorite things about this lease, but keep in mind you do have a bumper to bumper warranty on the truck for the first two years. I just had my transmission replaced a few months ago and it didn't cost me anything out of pocket, and I didn't go into the dreaded "maintance hole" that alot of other leases will put you in.

 

the bumper to bumper is cool however if there are no issues @ .12 cents a mile that could add up to ~ 35000 over 3 years. my luck I would blow an engine just after the lease is up.
