I have been there quite a few times. They lost a big customer nalco to the pumpkin. I am sure they will get them back after they screw up enough. Nice people to deal with and always had a load for me, which they would pre-load.:yes2557:

I can't say much about tanker deliveries in NYC. I've done several to Manhattan, Long Island and the Bronx areas when pulling flatbeds. Just do all the planning you can and be very sure of your directions. Definitely check out the truck route info posted earlier. Oh, and I very seldom cross the GW. Tappan Zee for me.

I started out the week in St. Louis MO, then got a tank wash for Markham IL, on the way I got a pickup out of Kankakee so I thought that they wanted me to go to Kankakee and skip Markham. I rolled in and dropped my trailer, backed up under my preload(going to Alexander AR) and took off.
Got a call a little while later wanting to know where the dirty trailer was. i didn't realize that Kankakee doesn't have a tank wash and they wanted me to take the dirty to Markham and bobtail back to Kankakee. OOPS, my bad.
So, I am hanging out at the Memphis yard tonight and going to go ahead and do a 34 here. Even though I just got out on Thursday. That way I won't have to worry about it this week at all. Just run the wheels off of it.

If you miss the 278 west exit off LI expressway, I found out a bunch of police officers will stop traffic for a pre queens tunnel u-turn.

I get people saying "you must shave every day". The short answer is no. Honestly, I couldn't grow a beard if I wanted to. I have gone as much as a month without shaving and ended up looking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo:biggrin_25519:.

I have been taking a few days off. I have a 14 year old Rottweiler/German Shephard mix(the one in my sig) that has been diagnosed with a tumor. Doing some tests, but really looking like we might have to put her down. Man I didn't realize how hard this was going to be. Ya know it is going to happen eventually but....

It will really suck when I come in and there isn't my big dog at the door. The wife is usually the third one I see. First my big dog, then my little dog, then it's mamas turn.

That sucks. I think sometimes its easier to love a dog than a family member. They don't have as many agendas other than eating and getting the belly scratched.

I just got back out this weekend after 9 days off. Only had 3 vacation days left so I headed out Saturday with a snot load going to Filer City Mi. to get some miles on this weeks pay check. That load went great.

Got tankwashed to Dedicated in Lansing Il and am loading this morning after about an 18 hour break at Rhodia a few miles from the Markham terminal. There are 2 other SPCR trucks here that are loaded. They have been sitting since Yesterday afternoon. One O/O has racked up 18 hours in demurage so far. They get between $35-40/hr.

Just got pulled under the rack after about an hour. We shall see. This load delivers at Brown Summit Thursday.

I did. The load to Brooklyn was nerve wrecking, cars were parked on both sides of the street so when they told me to pull up next to the building, I had to stop in the middle of the road. I didn't realize they meant on the sidewalk. I really felt like an idiot driving around up there because I would try to make turns and because of the parked cars I'd have to back up and go to the next intersection. Thankfully I managed not to hit anything, though I came close about 10 times. I also didn't like unloading 200 degree wax on the sidewalk with pedestrians walking right me.

After that they deadheaded me to the house, I was kind of hoping I'd get a TiO2 load to Greensboro out of Paulsboro, but I guess they didn't have much going on up there. Got home Wednesday, and Thursday I ran a trailer with a broken leaf spring to high point for repairs. Worked local for about 5 hrs on Friday, and then was off through Monday.

Currently on a phos acid load I picked up in Savannah going to Channelview, TX. I'll deliver there Thursday. Last time I was out in Houston I loaded on Thursday or Friday and delivered in Bradford , PA the following Monday or Tuesday and ended up having a really good paycheck. I'm hoping that will happen again.

I thought that was the sidewalk load. Sounds like you are running pretty good now. I was able to drop my load in at P@G today. If you ever get a load to Brown Summit you can usually deliver it early as long as you get there by 14:00. Just call Casa at the High Point Terminal and she will check for you. I ran hard and was able to get there by 13:45. Gives me another day at the house. Looks like I am off Thursday and Friday.

The system seems a little slow at the moment. I have to attend a safety meeting/truck rodeo on Saturday so this week is screwed unless they can get me out on Sunday. I guess no one ever complains that they spent too much time at home on the death bed though

Going to brew up some beer and work on the shelves I am building in the study. My wife will begin working from home in November so we have to make a place for her office computer.
