PAM Transport and Driver Solutions only care about money

We don't live in a perfect world mostly because people do not take enough responsiblity for themselves and for their job performance. Driver Solutions is included in that statement and I do believe they are like everyone else, money motivated above all and don't really understand that long term actually earning their pay gets them more money.
It really starts with the screening process and I think they accept students they know don't have a chance of being a successful truck driver and start harrassing them immediately for money right after they failed hence the bad blood from the get.

 

I hope your wrong...not going to deny it as a possibility, but i was relieved to be accepted, and entered into a contract of my own volition...Everyone there has a week to get out...most people are on the yard to experience being behind a wheel by that Thurs. Truck driving is just that! If you get that far and still go on, then shame on you. But of my class, of 23 I only know of 2 that are still driving...It's not for everyone, and they know that.
They expect a percentage of washouts before the contractual obligations are fulfilled, but don't fault them for that...They offered an opportunity, and failure of someone to see it through, is a problem of the individual, not the company.

 

PAM is in it for the money...and it should be after proper training has been provided. During my training, emphasis was placed on getting the load delivered. Training was at best an afterthought. The trainer was a chain-smoking, self-righteous, bottle-peeing jerk. If you do get in an accident be prepared to be on your own. Everyone wants to rob the bank if you get away with it but when the #### comes down the fat cats hide in the alley.

 

I have the same problem and all they do is call me daily asking for money when i ask for a job they tell me thats not their job...

You say you have two law licenses, what kind of law licenses? You are obviously NOT a lawyer. If you where a lawyer, you wouldn’t need to sign a $6000 contract with a credit shark company. You really think you will get off without paying. How many LAWYERS do you think the company had write, and review those contracts.

I see so much bull in your story, it’s pathetic. I retired from the Army, you sound like some lazy private that just came in from AIT. It’s always some one else’s fault.

Who ever told you it was OK to make a U-turn in a eighteen wheeler. YOU actually went out on the road without a map? Every one of the companies I research says right in there packing list, to bring a TRUCKERS road atlas to orientation.

EVERY company out there is in business to make money, if you get to make some along the way, then great.

 

First off Id just like to thank you for your service, I have always looked up to our Armed Forces personnel for their amazing bravery.

2nd, with all due respect, this isnt the ARMY we are dealing with. This is a company that preys on individuals in trying times. Unlike the ARMY these people can be wrong. Now I am not going to defend all of FDTLaw's statements as I only have as much information to his circumstances as you. I will say that by the end of all of the school and training I was pretty much dead broke. I am a bit luckier perhaps in that I have places I can turn to for help, but maybe he didnt? I dont know, but everyone has kinda jumped on that map thing and for obvious reasons, but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I think he probably knew how important it was- maybe it just wasnt a possibility?

Also I agree with you in that the school is trying to make a buck, since that is what puts food on the table. I feel that what is being called into question is whether or not their tactics are entirely ethical. There is little doubt that this has become an issue for many companies and financial institutions, and to just dismiss anyone that is crying foul as lazy finger pointers seems as dangerous as blaming the current housing collapse on the borrowers.

I think all of us would like to be able to get a court ordered 200% return over five years on our investments, or just the price we put on a service we offer (according to these people no matter the satisfaction level of the customer). Unfortunately that isnt a luxury that is afforded to most, but that is exactly what takes place with some of these "schools".

Lazy is also a lack of desire to be informed. Instead of judging this poster as an outright fraudulent cry baby, maybe you could ask for some clarifications in what he typed that youre taking issue with. It would serve a greater purpose, than just here, to question the actions of companies rather than accuse, dismiss, mock, and side with the accused. A method the majority of people have used for far too long.

At least you sound intelligent. Fdtlaw has apparently already left the forum, and won't speak for himself. This says a lot about him. I still say he's full of it.

I'm not a lawyer; my background is actually law enforcement. Investigating accidents, actually crashes (an accident is something that's not preventable, and there are very few of those) is something I've done for years. Every thing he described is his fault. Be aware of your surroundings. A little common sense will go a long way.

 

I know what you have been through man, Went to C1 in Fortworth TX . the school is a joke . the teacher give the whole class all the answers to all the test we took . The 3 weeks iI was there we had 1 week of class which we only spent 2 days in class room . The rest of the time was spent driving back in forth to dmv.taking test to get a permit so we could drive for the next 2 weeks.They had no classes on saturday as was on driversloutions web page 7 am to12 on sat. The driving part was another joke , in one truck with one trainer one day and in another truck with another trainer the next day for 2 weeks never the same trk. or trainer . every trainer told us to forget what the other trainer said this is how you do it .none of the trainers on same page.verry un organised . rushed through the whole thing . and do i work for PAM now ? no I do not was let go because I wouldnt team up. not putting my life in someone elses hands was out there for only a short time and seen a plenty of truck on there side because the driver fell asleep was not going out that way.
