Went to USA out of school drove for them
For five months the truck i got out of training
No air conditioning, had to be jumped first load alright and all downhill from there
Averaged under 2000 miles a week
They would not fix the truck outside of terminal
Terminals either didn't have the means or they didn't have the knowledge to do so.
which of course u get what u pay for, i tried to switch fleets trying to get miles.
Every set of directions i got sent to me from
Daytime staff from that point on were wrong
That way i could be blamed for being late
and not them for an under paid driver not getting miles.
had a few different fleet managers two were alright neither one i got to have for more then a week or two, my best week was a week of breakdown pay, had me stuck in nowhere Texas a full week with no air and no motels within an hour and just strung me along everyday, i would sit and wait at shippers for 7 and 8 hours at a time, half my loads if i ddnt max out the speed start to finish it was gonna be late, they would intentionally give me wrong appointment times not too many shippers have showers when that's all you ever see, rarely got to see a truck stop. but to fuel only had 2 1000 mile loads in the whole 5 months and both were the only runs i got that week off of hometime, it all accumulates from being intentionally giving the wrong directions in the west Virginia mountains Or cities like Louisville and Newark, just the best places in the world for a truck to be lost because of directions i depended on by companies they regularly do business for, why sabotage your own business?
Oh but I've been late places now so the higher UPS side with whatever the pencil pusher suggests, and when all is said and done
I get fired for calling fleet manager a name..
Of course they put stuff on my dac two weeks later and no other company will give me a chance all because USA truck was a piece of #### i hope they all burn in hell

Edit: log violations are what went on my dac, paperlogs not e-logs the Qualcomm was only used for messaging, tracking, spying, and kenieving... God I hate them sooo bad

Sad thing is I really enjoyed driving just hated never making anything and being treated subhuman, I would love to drive again too bad the only companies that would take me screaming insurance and apparently all the self insured companies feel like they're just as sorry

Another day that ends in Y and another whiner that couldn't hack it and blames the company.

Please explain to us why they would intentionally give you wrong appointment times? How does that benefit them in anyway shape or form? Also why would they knowingly give you bad directions? Again, how does that benefit them?

You were "stuck in nowhere Texas a full week with no air and no motels within an hour..." please stop. Thats just hyperbole or and outright lie.

"rarely got to see a truck stop. but to fuel" so which is it? you got to visit truckstops when you got fuel. grab a shower then. There is no reason you couldn't take 30 min to get clean. Its not the shippers responsibilty to provide showers.

"Or cities like Louisville and Newark, just the best places in the world for a truck to be lost because of directions i depended on by companies they regularly do business for, why sabotage your own business?
Oh but I've been late places now so the higher UPS side with whatever the pencil pusher suggests, and when all is said and done"...........
WHAT in the world are you trying to say?? Ok, Newark can be a bit tricky if you have not been there before, but Louisville is not that big or hard to get around. sabotage business????? higher UPS side???????

Didn't have one yet, I did shortly after the two weeks of bad directions.
I said I was wrong for calling him a name he wasn't that bad, it was what lead upto that point I just snapped
Enjoyed the job, didn't enjoy showing up half the places 3 & 4 hours early, were told they got incentive for it have no clue if that's true

The Texas thing started over a trailer being sold to Mexico, everyday I worked between the company and shipper trying to get the right loads on the trailer cause they had sent me back after the first load was the wrong one,
And everyday he said he'd get me another load
Or that load fixed it took about 4 days not including the 2 of leaving and coming back and the extra day waiting for a trailer over the weekend
Which I expected when the delivery before didn't have an empty

Had to wait a month between school and orientation made me wait to get my hard copy of license which made me pretty broke and behind from the start.
all i said is true i hate it sounds whiney, but i just had got my application to another company rejected earlier that day so it stung.
It was my fault that i blew up on him, but everything has its reasons i enjoyed driving
i had only two fleet managers that were good and id still be there had i had them for more then three weeks the whole time i was there

And u asked why someone would sabotage a load, if someone goes up the ladder to not have u, how would u get them back?
Low miles pay, but that means eventually someone will know a low cpm employee is not being utilized, but if said employee has lates.. Then there is a reason why he isn't being utilized...
    No?

Either way it has been a bad company since Jimmy Mack retired with a few good people scattered

I did like some of the people, one third shift dispatch she never gave me bad dir on purpose was pretty helpful as much as possible as well as the trainers i had were good liked some of the safety people.
Just seemed like everytime i got something good going on they'd take me and stick me with someone that just didnt know what they were doing.
Hurry up and wait always a popular usa Moto

And about the truck stops usually I would sit at shippers and/or receivers for hours upon hours. My pick-up times were always just enough time to get there and alot of my runs were short and sameday delivery

U didn't notice the under 2000 miles a week and breakdown paid me more then working did?

I enjoyed driving and I think I will do good elsewhere, and maybe it was a fluke that I just had bad luck there with equipment
But to say lied is bs
Go read others post about USA they are around.
Oh no downtime pay for less then 24 hours of course drivers told me different and every fleet manager had what they would and wouldn't do very unorganized

Probably shouldn't matter. I don't have a GPS unit, and I rarely get lost. I also don't follow the QC directions; they have been known to be suspect at times.

Its posts like these that make me so glad I went with a local company!. Getting paid by the hour instead of by the mile and sleeping in my own bed each and every night!. I guess I was lucky to find a local driving job less than 6 months out of school but to me driving local paid by the hour just made sense!

Still trying to figure out why you would expect some one sitting in a cubicle in Ar. to give you directions in New Jersey.

Tech- What single method of navigation are you using with such success? I am using a combination GPS, qualcom directions, calling customer (half the numbers are bad), google maps and google earth (use arial photos of property, and a couple times a week I am parking and getting out and walking either to find the customer or the proper entry way to them. I have even used Rand Mcnally paper map twice. All of them have their problems but the combination is effective. I also called my freight manager once not to get directions but to get a good phone number to the customer. I figured he wouldn't know a whole lot about Rhode Island.
