What kind of trucks are they running now that the 379 line is retired? They weren't keen on the 387's when I was there and I never heard what they decided to start replacing them with.

Peterbilt replaced the 379 with the 389 in 2006. Just an updated model like the change from 359 to 379 in 1986.

    Hey Moto,

You have any update on your second week? I am just finishing my second week at truck driving school. TMC is verifying my employment history. Really interested in your second week there.

The 379 change to the 389 was in 07/08. 2008 was the first year for the 389. Easy to remember because They all are DPF trucks with 6 or 7 inch stacks.

Sure. If you have any questions about TMC feel free to ask. I can honestly say I enjoy TMC very much and have no complaints.

I am waiting to retire from the AF. I have a few more years but want to stay up to date on the industry. So far TMC looks like a good company to start with. I have been involved with trucks my whole life and have a bit of flatbed experience . I have my CDL and am working on all the endorsements i can get. I want to be as marketable as possible. Spent a few months on a Prime inc truck before i joined but the AF and a retirement check were calling my name. The trucks and professional atmosphere are what draw me towards TMC.
