I'm not the best one to answer all that. I am just in the final stages of my training. Going over the road with a driver trainer. What I can tell you is that Maverick tells you how it's going to be, no BS. I can't imagine a better training program. You won't find better pay starting out anywhere else that runs legal. Most everything you need to know are in these post but if you can't find an answer just post it and someone will be happy to answer your questions, they did mine.

can a maverick driver answer me another question....whats mavericks stand on bad weather.....like snow and ice closing down roads....do they want you to push the load through by using alternate routes or wait until the road is clear to proceed?
thanks everyone!

I have been "Maverick" for 8+ yrs now and I cant imagine a better flatbed company. You will find that your routes will become somewhat regular after a while. Depending on where you live you will get certain loads more than ithers simply because Maverick does its best to make sure drivers are home as many weekends as possible and certain routes work better for certain areas. As fir weather Ive never had them ask to push beyond my limit. If you dont feel safe then dont drive. Better to save the load and truck than risk an accident.

I know some will groan when I say this but if you need to get your cdl then the best company is Prime Inc. A friend of mine trains there and their training program is top notch. You will have to drive for them as a company driver for 1yr to get the training free but they pay newbies decent and have good equipment and benefits. However once you complete the year STAY AWAY FROM THEIR LEASE its a no win deal.

Maverick runs the latest touchscreen qualcomms. As for rooming durung training. You will share your room at Mavericks on site "motel" with one other driver and thats it. The rooms are large with seperate closets for your gear. Thete is a drivers lounge downstairs with cable tv,refridgerator, and microwave. They also have courtesy cars available.bjb2448 Thanks this.
