I loved the GPS that came on the iPhone, I mostly used my rand for the overall, just used GPS for inner city, great for Chicago cause if u saw bridges u could get a side view see how tall they were.
Not everyone had a good clear view but it helped me alot around Cicero
I really enjoyed driving miss the driving part quite a bit the lifestyle wasn't really the issue
my dads been a driver for 12 years and id call other drivers around USA, quite a few people...
I did go quite a few places none of them had ever been to though.. Part of the enjoyment is the learning process

yrc....... linehaul I will never do OTR ever again.. If drivers would just stop doing stuff for free they would start to pay you for everything... 2 years exp. should be enough to get you in

... As w/ any job, telling "the boss" to "suck it (words used to convey message dosen't matter)" is never aceptable because you are only spiting your self. I know that hind sight is always 20/20 but being a professional driver requires self control & patience. Therefore, the logical & calculated approach woud mean serving a letter offering your two weeks notice along with any grievances and see how it is recieved . This especially rings true whe dealing with an employer with whom you are unhappy. I there is a paper trail documenting "why" you left that position it is much easier to pursue future employment as a trucker vs. working night shift at a Plaid Pantry & watching your life really fall apart.
A far as the not having the correct directions goes? the iPhone 3GS is available Online for Just $49. Buy it. Download the CoPilot Live Truck app for $ 149.00 & then buy a winshield mount for $ 11.99. If you yard sale your i phone have a truckers road atlas on standby w/ some post it notes & there will be no where in the lower 48 & Canada where you can not be given turn by turn audiable or written directions.
In closing please remember, "The more crap you put up with, the more crap you are going to get."

LOL, USA sucks true. But alot of your story is your fault. Stuck in tx for days? Stop calling Dispach, call his boss. Directions, as a driver you should never trust the co to give you good direction. And you do know you can call and check on pickup and del times yourself right? Like I said they SUCK BIGTIME, but you can avoid headaches by just doing alot on your own. Sidebar how did you even get Dispach to pick up the phone.. Lol

not going under.. we've hearing that since 09.... even if they do I still would not be abused by these OTR companies....

Joescheppae Q Thanks this. -
I'd talk to my fm, just things I didn't know at the time, and I tried to go above from time to time, it would usually make things worse till they got changed
Alot of it was probably bad decisions on my part, I wished I had been on this site at that time -
Well for wrong directions problem... Getting lost because someone gave you directions that were wrong, well that's kinda like some drivers that go down a road with low bridge and hit it & say..well the company sent me this way.
Just because they send you directions don't always mean there right. In this day & age with so many easily & accessible resources to confirm directions, there's no excuse for saying that I got wrong directions..not my fault.
