USX pay scale.... how does it work

    everything exept the pay per mile.
    you should have a copy of the milage pay 1-300, 301-600, 601-900 901+ (for YOUR pay rate)
    just add the mt and loaded miles will give you the total paid trip miles

    127 mt + 375 loaded = 502 paid miles (insert your pay rate here) but @.35 cpm = $175.70

    One thing they don't tell you is the rate is based on the total miles for the load, not just the miles you drove. That means if you repower a load out of, say, Ellenwood GA that some team brought over from Cali, you get paid the lower rate even though you might have only ran it 400 miles.

    So, hubby on the road solo for the last 2 weeks!!! Yahhh - but have a question - being fresh from orientation, then training (new driver) what should mileage pay be. We are confused at the website stating experience 0 months pay 28-35 cents per mile based on amount of miles. Hubby getting less than that on 0-300 mile runs. Is this correct. Maybe some other new driver can tell me what they are getting.

    the link posted by poobah is the best way to look it up.

    works like this. load miles + mt miles = total paid miles x his pay rate = gross pay for the trip

    so for your hubby is on the 0-3 months group so 0-300 is .35cpm 301-600 is also .35cpm, but remember that it is TOTAL miles so a 580 mile trip with a 25 miles dead head is a total of 605 and would pay .31cpm, some of the shorter run's are classified as local and are not paid as milage but at a flat rate, and sometimes when a driver is paid (local) are forget to change him back to milage for the next run

    if he thinks it's wrong have him call payroll and ask them why it paid X when he thought it would pay Y and they will tell him... he may not be looking at the right numbers or they may have paid it wrong but have him call so he knows why they paid it the way they did, if it's wrong they WILL FIX IT on his next check.

    i have been with usx for over 8 years, solo, team, solo, team and now o/o. the last time i was solo was after they started the sliding pay thing and i would call my fm on every load to find out what i was getting paid on each load until i understood how it worked. it didn't take long to understand it.
