my friend worked for pam transport and gave them 8 years of hard work and was a trainer. he was involved in a accident that wasnt his fault and the old man that caused the accident was cited by police and they put him on a leave until they investigated the accident report. it was clear that he didn't cause the accident. wee long story short, he just had a baby and needed to get back to work and he quit because they were taking to long to get him back on the road. they basically blackballed his dac report so bad with false reports and so many lies its been 2 monthes and he still trying to find a job. these companys don't care about there drivers at all , its all about the compant making money and drivers are just a dime a dozen. i think dac should be illegal and never be aloud to be used toward a drivers employment, his mvr was crystal clear, and thats how the driver should get checked, if it was that bad of a incident it would be on the mvr,,, NEVER WORK FOR PAM TRANSPORT. THEY LIE AND TREAT THERE DRIVERS LIKE DIRT AND THEY MAKE THERE DRIVERS DRIVE ILLEAGLE!!!!!!!:biggrin_25513:

    >>>>>THEY MAKE THERE DRIVERS DRIVE ILLEAGLE!!!!!!!

Yet he drove there 8yrs?...Was this a confession he was making?...

Funny when someone feels like they were treated unfairly by a company they start to air 'illegal' activities which they had no problem with while working for them...I have no respect for someone like that...If it wasn't a problem while you were there, don't make it one now, it only makes you look bad...

If you're worried about bad info being put on a DAC and you plan on quitting, get your new job before you quit so that becomes a non-issue...You know how some of these companies are, don't act shocked when they ding you...

OK...quelling all rumors right now. I'm employed with PAM (going on 3 1/2 years). Never ONCE was I forced to run illegally. If I could not make the delivery on time, or if I felt like I was getting too tired to drive under a hot load, one phone call, and everything was taken care of. I don't know what your friend is citing (after all, you're getting all this info second-hand). Maybe having a new child made him just give up driving, which I totally understand. But before ripping into a company, make sure you get the FACTS, not rumors.

Sorry, no one held a gun to your friend's head and "made" him drive ILLEGAL, he was the captain of the ship and MADE the decision to drive illegal.

It couldn't have been that bad if he tolerated it for 8 years OR he's just plain dumb!

    Which is it?

I drove for PAM and did run illegal. Did I have to?? No but if you didn't you sat for days waiting on a load. It sucks but it is the way these companies are. I quit,no notice turned the truck in Ar the yard in better shape than I got it and the only bad thing on my DAC was a not rehirable. But I have heard some bad stories about them.

Question: What is the difference between unlawful and illegal?

Answer: unlawful is breaking the law while an ill eagle is a sick bird :biggrin_25519:
