If it's copper, solder is the way to go.

Is it a pin hole or a seam?

Do not in any means add anything to the cooling system. Bar's leak will plug up the heater core, and does not fix anything there are coatings that will coat the inside of the engine like a plastic paste they will destroy the engines cooling system, heater core and radiator.
Take it to a rad shop and get it fixed. First call Freightliner and see if there is warranty on it.

that's too new of a truck to do a half ##### repair job. Take the radiator off and fix it the right way.

I was just going by the bars leak websight, very interesting info. if true. I have used it when I first got my truck over 11 years ago. fixed leak at back of water pump, where it leaked at the plastic plate & -o- ring seal. I never had any problems using it. however, it may have just been an exception in my case. it is always better to have fixed correctly if possible.

Like others have said fix it the right way now or have an even bigger problem down the road. I have used bars-leak before and never had an issue. I keep two jugs in the truck at all times (just in case).

I took engine apart for a living and have seen many failures, expensive ones caused by someone trying to fix a twenty dollar problem with a two dollar fix that ends up costing thousands.
    Just a thought!
