Sorry but there is no way to change the screen resolution. In regards to the tones, you had probably missed a turn which was signified by the first 3 beeps, then the following three beeps were to alert you that a new route was calculated.

    Brian, or anyone..

Has anyone had a satellite problem lately? The 7700 stopped working coming up I-95 in NJ on the NJTP. when I stopped at a service area I checked the satellite info on the unit. It said there were no satellites tracking me. (Impossible I said) I Thought it died, so I bought the 7750 PLT. The 7750 PLT worked fine for awhile then today I had the same problem.

Unit is only 2 days old and now another new problem.. .
    Application error :smt067(asimap.exe)

    Thanks,

    Howard

I own the 5550 and it will not take a charge. The cord is not broke and the connector looks good as well. Any ideas? And I am OTR right now and I don't have my papers for it but is there a warranty on them?

Sounds like some kind of internal malfunction. I think you will need to either exchange it at the store or send it in for service. The Customer Service number is 773-889-3087.

The best way to check it is to look at the lower-right corner on the map screen. It shows a battery icon. The icon should always show charging action if the power cord is plugged in (even if the battery is fully charged).

If you have the power cord plugged in but you do not see charging action, then most likely the cord is bad. If you call Customer Service at 773-889-3087 they will send you a replacement cord under warranty.
