Run...dont walk this company treates drivers badly.mystery math on miles and pay, misrepresented dac files and now bs drug tests because drivers are leaving.Wayne waggoner is the front of the line when it comes to new company policy. Now hes hired a hotshot lawfirm in tulsa to defend his bs.He lost most of his carhaul accounts and now going after Wind Energy Companies.Drivers terminated for refusing to run Towers without permits.
:biggrin_25510:.Emploment is short term...3-4 months when he runs out of work he'll tell you to go home and not bring you back.Truck Boss used to be a truck salesman.Permit dept used to be a clerk at a gas station. loaded :biggrin_25510:Trucks sitting for 2-3 Weeks waiting on permits.

Dude . My father has been hauling cars for them for over 15 years and I am heading there this week to start training. Don't be pissed at a company because you do a half ### job and they don't deal with it. Everyone is aware you can't fix stupid. If this is your issue its obvious why you are having issues. What other owner of a company would pay for a full heart transplant out of his pocket for an employee and also buy another one a brand new handicap van, electric wheelchair, pay off his home, and medical bills out of pocket?! Let me remind you both of these people were drivers not big wigs of the company. Go work at Swift or any other half ### company and see what they do to help you. All that would happen and you will be out of work and they will fill the void. Maybe you don't like getting told what to do... if that's the case start your own business because trucking is not your calling. :biggrin_25525:

Actually you are both right on a few things.
I used to work at the Okc terminal. Riley Rhodes (the so-called gas station clerk) owned one of the busiest service stations in Okc. There are many people that haven't always been in the trucking industry that are now.
I was the first person the be layed off at the Okc terminal. I liked working there for some stupid assed reason. It was funny some of the stupid stuff that drivers can come up with. I worked with ALL of the drivers. Carhaul, Heavy Haul, Wind, LTL Oilfield. There were many good drivers but there were even more crybaby wannabees. ATS rejects doing Wind Energy. Carhaul guys tearing up trucks and trailers because they didn't know what they were doing or didn't care.
I learned alot about dispatch and load planning. Most of the office help just took orders from higher up. Always pressure to squeeze a hundred bucks from a twenty. Mr.Waggoners is a strange duck for sure. Won't sell any of his true junk, cause that just enables the competition. He does have a lot of good people working for him but I dougbt he really appreciates them. I'm pretty sure there were hidden reasons why Wayne opened his big wallet to pay for all the things you said he did (dweir09). Easy way out for somebodies screwup. Truth of the matter is he ain't going anywhere soon. He has been in business forever and buys more equipment daily. The Okc terminal is full of trucks, trailers and other equipment that he has bought recently. There is no end to money he has.

I was looking for information on them a few months back and this thread was all I found. Good to hear 2 other opinions on the company. Waggoners was running daily ads in my local paper for a few months and I wasn't sure about the turnover rate.

I first met Wayne in abot 1983 after he had purchased popelka trucking out of Calgary to get his Alberta Operating Authority. He hired me to obtain Saskatchewan Authority which I did. I found him to be a very good person and easy to deal with.

I invoiced him for a few thousand dollars for my time and got paid with a week.

For those of you that don't know how he started "trucking". He actually started by delivering eggs back in Billings Montana. The delivery service turned into Waggoneers.
