I hate to do it but I dropped a dime on a trainer today. Any one who has drove california 46 around lost hills knows about all the oilwells. In the middle of this area there was a nasty wreck that had the highway shut down. I am setting there in line waiting when a stevens truck comes up along side of me going the wrong way in the left lane then turns into the oil field ignoring the no tresspassing signs, whipps the trailer around and heads bacK towards the truckstops. All thw while holding a cell phone to his ear. He did not do a uturn on a public street he just violating so many other laws. Both drivers were setting up in the cab. This guy should not be training and in my opinion does not matter who was driving
So I made it to express cooling with no time left on my 14. A 1 pick going to target IA. Stopped in wells NV for the night. Going to have to run hard to make the friday appt.

I came to Stevens with my class "A" CDL in hand and past OTR experience. I was told that I had been off the road too long and that I would have to go through the whole school. Yes, I was paid, but that's still too many days in a truck. As I stated before, my trainer and I are shut down until tomorrow. We are only 400 miles from delivery and rather than spending other night in the truck I got a hotel (paid for by me) just so I could get some rest without a Thermo-king running all night.

When I pull my hearing aids off, I can't hear a thing. Sure nice around the house, they are spouse tested.

Im so used to the thermo king and APU running that I cant sleep good when I get home cause its to quiet lol
Anyway, hang in there. Itll be over soon.nascarchuck and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Well, we drove all day and all night to get this repowered load from Amarillo to the east side of Ohio for the 0500 appointment.
Half goes to Walmart, the other half goes to Toronto.
Pulled in all bleary eyed at 0400, checked in and fell asleep while waiting to be unloaded.
Pager goes off 2 1/2 hours later, go in to get paperwork and whaddya know! Whole load is rejected.
Bruised and decay are the reasons.
I inspect the load. Find they didn't do anything more than check the top crate of two skids. I check them. They look fine.
Guess they didn't sell all their berries over the weekend, so now they can't use these. Find a reason to reject.
OS&D scrambles to find a buyer, gives me addy to Pittsburg. Halfway there, calls me ands says, "no, no, no! Cleveland!"
Seems about 9 QC messages never came thru.
Turn around, head towards Cleveland 124 miles away.
Student driving. Suddenly can't find gears, can't read speedo, takes wrong turns...
I've had about two hours sleep. I'm hungry, grumpy and now find out they still expect me to make Toronto by 0300!
Oh, yea...forgot...student isn't Canada qualified, so have to get him to a motel before crossing.
What a lousy day to have given up heroin! (sorry, Lloyd Bridges..) -

Wannna know if anyone else started OR1 last week in Dallas. I started last week and I'm now on Day 5 with my trainer. Sitting here at Elkstown, MD on our way to Baltimore. I just completed my first requirement docking the Northeast part which was Brooklyn, NY. I drove thru there and it wasn't ALL THAT hype like they claimed it would be. I mean, he'll yeah they drive f**kin crazy and would have 10 cars that will cut you off EVEN in front of a cop. Nothing to get white knuckles over... I also had to block off the entire street on Utica to unload some meat. Them cars didn't give a dam. They still found a way to manuever around me. Took like 4 pull ups to do. I still got her in. First time to NYC and I didn't get to see or do much there. Let alone, not even got to try a Sabrett hotdog. :/ Im NOT too pleased with my trainer who is 13 yrs older then me and not so talkative. He drives from 2am to 8am and I do the 9am-6pm. Truck #11637. Anyone see it, hit me up. I got a football that I like to throw around but no one to throw it back. I would also like to know people that are on THIS forum. Hit me up. Name is Isaac.
