1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Currently with roehl. Its not going real well truck is constantly in the shop been down 10 days in the past month. HAve to fight with payroll to get my pay.

Can relocate for the right job. But would prefer something where i can stay home or something where i can be out 21 off 7 (oilfield work).

Sent in alot of applications but also wanted to get input from other drivers because alot of companies don't advertise positions.

    21 years old
    5 months OTR
clean record other than a seatbelt ticket like 2 years back
4+ years in a straight truck

You know the next step is 6 months experience. Tough it out one more month atleast. Straight truck doesn't apply to OTR experience.

You ain't gonna find much better than Roehl until you get to one year experience. It's not like your truck is going to break down every month. Develop a good work relationship with your dispatcher or ask for a new one if you don't click. Do what your dispatcher ask of you and you'll see things get better. Getting mad and upset just makes things worse.

im not mad or upset just moving on. my dispatcher does not stand up for his drivers at all.

    My issues are this
    1. i have had a issue with the qualcom since day one of having this truck. (july 26th) the sensors fail then come back therefore making the system un-usable i do not receive messages sent to me therefore i do not receive my loads. This caused me to have to use my cell phone for everything. Well 900 overage minutes later i have a 800 dollar bill because they couldnt get the system fixed and it still isnt fixed.

2.Truck has had 3 turbos since i got it all the same cause bearing failure.

    3. Fighting to get breakdown pay took a week to get it and i only got it after telling them to route me to a terminal i was resigning thats when i got "ill see what i can do"

    4. MONEY i spend more time in the shop then i do on the road my past two months monthly miles have been 7000. Granted if they would fix the truck my miles would go up but that doesnt seem to be happening and they will not assign me another truck.

Dont get me wrong awesome school drivers are all friendly as well as staff. But im not going to stay somewhere where i cant pay the bills or get a truck fixed.
