Wannna know if anyone else started OR1 last week in Dallas. I started last week and I'm now on Day 5 with my trainer. Sitting here at Elkstown, MD on our way to Baltimore. I just completed my first requirement docking the Northeast part which was Brooklyn, NY. I drove thru there and it wasn't ALL THAT hype like they claimed it would be. I mean, he'll yeah they drive f**kin crazy and would have 10 cars that will cut you off EVEN in front of a cop. Nothing to get white knuckles over... I also had to block off the entire street on Utica to unload some meat. Them cars didn't give a dam. They still found a way to manuever around me. Took like 4 pull ups to do. I still got her in. First time to NYC and I didn't get to see or do much there. Let alone, not even got to try a Sabrett hotdog. :/ Im NOT too pleased with my trainer who is 13 yrs older then me and not so talkative. He drives from 2am to 8am and I do the 9am-6pm. Truck #11637. Anyone see it, hit me up. I got a football that I like to throw around but no one to throw it back. I would also like to know people that are on THIS forum. Hit me up. Name is Isaac.
Is this trainer awake while you are driving? Not to talkative as in silent? lol..... What can ya do right? Leaving Tonight for airport, Start school on Monday.
I am sure all of you are pros at leaving home, but I had to tell me girls goodbye today knowing full and well I wouldn't see them for the next four months. Feels like a dream....but I am in it for the long-haul....buhahaha!!! -
No. Last week I was with this same trainee, but traversing another part of the country.
It's not uncommon to have new trainees without Candada qualification.
Not a big deal. Put in a room overnight, go deliver, then pick them up again.
I just finished unloading. Now heading to Mississaugua to pick up a General Foods order bound for Murfreesboro, TN.
No...I won't forget to pick up my trainee as I pass thru Buffalo.

Anytime you can squeeze it in (or out!) between 00:00 and 24:00
It all depends on your schedule, and that's dictated by each load.
Welcome to the world of OTR -
Hey Shiftylots i just wanna say good luck and be safe and remember that what you are doing is to provide a better future for your family. Thats the way i see it..... keep us posted God bless

Funny, when I did my training the truck was not to move between the hours of 3am to 7am.? This was the danger zone and until the end of OR1 they would not let us travel? Or maybe that was my trainers rule? Maybe thats why I think my trainer was an idiot? LOL!! Hope your doi ng well!! -
Trainers can drive between those hours but students are not allowed.
And the truck is only allow to move for 20 hours total in a day and then it has to stop for at least 8 hours. -
Good Luck Shifty. sit and enjoy the ride.
